I can't believe this is a four star hotel

Dislikes: NO AMMENITIES! I have never been to any hotel that didn't have a coffee machine in your room. Halfway through our week long stay we were informed by another guest that you must go to the 36th floor for free coffee. No free wi-fi unless you go to the mezzanine level. I assumed that now-a-days, these simple things would be free.
Our room was decent with a spectacular view but I was surprised at how "cheap" the hotel was. Cheap, old TV, cheap bedding, cheap "free" soaps and shampoo. The bathroom sink was dirty with old crusty toothpaste, the toilet barely flushed one square of the extremely cheap sandpaper toilet paper, the security door to our room never worked right. We had to repeatedly slide our card in and out and quickly jiggle the door handle up and down in order to get in. Turns out, half the guests on the floor had the same problem. I feel like a hotel of this size, that charges so much should be providing a little more. I can't believe how dated, and chintzy it all was. So disappointing. I guess if people want to pay strictly for location, this is a good place but if you want to actually feel pampered, this isn't it.
