good time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/18/09
Went to visit my son in St. Looey during Thanksgiving. 18th floor room at a great price with a great room. It was a very quite week in the hotel and we felt like we had the place, food etc to ourselves. Room was excellent with very reasonable price. Check in staff was very nice. The only dislike was valet parking a bit steep. Would I stay there again....yes, in a heartbeat.

DONT VALET
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/22/09
The 30 minute elevator wait is a little extreme. But the major downfall is the valet wrecking my vehicle. I didn't notice till I got home since it was on the passengerside of the vehicle. What did AAA parking and the hotel do about it, NOTHING. NEVER AGAIN. They can have my Hyatt Card back

Great place to stay
By L C, 06/23/09
The hotel was close to everything we wanted to see. We had the view of the Arch from our window. The room was very luxurious. Service was very friendly. We got our room from Priceline.com for $50 per night. Hotel was great, but we wished they kept their pool. They shut it down in January. I brought my 4yr old son on the trip. I really wished the hotel had free kids channels. I wasn't about to pay $2.99 for 29min worth of Curious George. Instead we splurged and ordered room service. Food was great! Our overall experience was WONDERFUL! My son loved the hotel and that's all that really counts.

will never stay here again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/24/09
The room was dirty, the maid staff was sketchy and woudl not let them clean room without someone there, the staff didn't know what was going on. Each person had a different opinion. do not recommend this hotel at all.

DO NOT BOTHER, NOTHING LIKE THE OLD TRAIN STATION
By Robert, 02/19/09
This place has absolutely no serivces. They should not be open currently, they are in the middle of a remodel and I am sure when they are done, it might be nice, but STAY AWAY NOW! REGARDLESS OF PRICE. The first room that was given to me was a pre-remodel, complete with nasty stains on the floor and a TV and matress that should not be sold at a resale shop. Every thing at the hotel closes at 10:00, long day want a drink at the bar, sorry, closed at 10. Want a late night snack? Sorry roomservice stops at ten, but we can give you a phone book! Want a pop in the main bar during the day? sorry, nothing opens till 4:00pm and closes at 10:00. Now out of all this the staff was very nice, the vallet even offered to walk down the street to the local store so I could have a pop during the day, but the management is horrible! this place should not be open, your much better off with the day's in! This is a insult to the name Hyatt

Terrible Rooms, Great Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/25/08
The staff was great, lobby is great. Rooms sucked. First room had a filthy bathroom and the tub was sinking - had to change rooms. The second room only had hot water in the tub, sink and toilet. Not even worth the discount price for a room. Try somewher else

Two of us stayed one night at this hotel last month. Got a good deal through Priceline. Both of us were VERY impressed with the hotel. The staff was great! The room was clean, enough hot water.. the location is excellent & we had a great view! Would def. stay there again!

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/09/08
Disappointed in the arrival. Waited in a line of cars for a long time, then a line to check in only to be told our room was not ready. We had to wait another hour to get into our room even though we were already an hour after check in time. Room was comfortable but air conditioning was too much and we had no control of it. Food in the restaurants is very good though expensive. Couldn't ask for a better location though. Can walk to the arch, the river, the stadium and BB's Jazz, Blues and Soups.

Avoid - seek other hotels
By Kellie, 08/04/08
Our experience at Hyatt Regency Riverfront was not a good experience. First off, Parking was a joke. Only choice you have is valet parking, tax and plus tip. Check in was horrible. We stood in line for an hour to just check in. We had our rooms reserved a head of time, but still stood in line. We waited another hour and a half for our rooms to get ready, even though check in was suppose to be at three p.m. I called on my cell phone while standing at the front desk, I was put on hold for fifteen minutes until I finally got someones attention along with three other disappointed customers. I asked her if she wanted to hold my phone while she had me on hold. She gave me a look and walked away. She finally after me starring her down for another twelve minutes, she brought me my room cards. The rooms are not spectacular for the price. Bathrooms were not clean. Urine stains were on the floor. My son wore flip flops in shower. Towels had nasty stains and a bad smell to them. One of the odd number elevator almost took an arm off of a gentlemen as he was getting off on 7th floor. Lighting was flickering in some areas. As we checked out, we waited for 30 minutes at front desk, twenty minutes at valet parking just to leave. During check out, they tried to charge us $11.00 for one bottle beer and a glass of water. We had to correct that problem. Ended up that they charged us 5.50 for the beer and 1.00 for a 3 ounce plastic glass of water with a small black straw. I would recommend to the hotel manager, you have a lot of glitches to fix if you are going to run a Hyatt Regency on the Riverfront. I would think that for the price of the rooms, you could also provide a complementary breakfast. To other hotel lookers, there are many other choices down on the riverfront. Check them out.
