Edgewater Resort and Waterpark, Duluth

We expected large crowds considering the new yrs weekend, but we didn't expect the very dirty water pools, very dirty whirl pool and my boyfriend leaned on a colum by the pool and found it was so lose it could have toppled over if he put his whole weight on it, also the pool was very cold, so much so our young Childern couldn't swim in it longer than ten mins, edge waters response to our complain was, we are shutting the park down on the 18 for repairs, it would have been nice if they would have informed us of that before we booked our room...

You will want to stay in the main building as the rooms in the motel building need serious updating and are showing their age, we had problems with the AC shutting off and wanted a different room. The staff is great and once we moved into the main building we had no problems at all. The Main building is the newest part of the resort. The rooms do have some signs of age, and could use some updating also. The Hotel Staff was great and they have some great deals on the Vista Fleet and other attractions while staying at the Hotel. The Water Park makes a perfect family vacation spot and provides Life Guards for the interior park. Overall the Main building is the place to stay, take advantage of the Concergie Services, and our kids want to return next year for our vacation.

We brought our grandkids here and enjoyed our stay a lot. The room was very clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable. I would stay here anytme.

This was our first time at a waterpark, and what a joyful, FUN place. We found the people who were using the waterpark AND the employees helpful and nice. It was a 'happy place' to be. We found the room clean and the beds comfortable; the 11pm curfew was honored and we had no trouble with noise. Enjoyed the pool and the hot-tub and found everything very clean and well maintained. We would recommend this place, and would stay there again.

Edgewater "Resort" and waterpark was a disappointment and we will not be going back. Our room was not clean and the walls are thin...you can hear people in the rooms next to you all night. We did not read the reviews before we left - make sure you do.

I've lived in duluth, mn all of my life, and i've been to every condominium, hotel, lodge, and inn in the port city. But the edgwater is different... in a good way. The edgwater is the only indoor waterpark resort in duluth and is accompanied with 2 slides (body and tube), a whirlpool, swim pool, 500 ft. lazy river, stepping-stone pool, hot tube, and large kids waterpark area with a 500 gallon water bucket. Also, there is a pool-side cantina. I bought a cheesebruger and fries and a margarita. The BEST! the rooms are neat and very hawaiian and tropical, but the rooms can get a bit drafty. Also, the resort is located to all the city's major ammenities. PArks, cafes, ect.

My family and I used to stay at this hotel for a week every year until they made it into a waterpark. It used to be a wonderful clean fun place at what we thought was a very reasonable price ( we used to stay for about $75-$80 a night.) The pool area was very nice the way it was. We always had a nice balcony overlooking the lake. Now they want around $200 a night because of the waterpark. No way are we paying that!! We come to duluth to enjoy the beautiful city and north shore, and maybe use the pool at night. Very disappointed that they ruined a very nice family traditon with there greed!!!! WE HAVE NOT BEEN THERE since they changed and never will!!!!!!!

Never go there!The worst staff and management!Filthy Filthy rooms,Filthy bedding!My kids got chemical burns from the pool!There was no hot water to take a shower!A kid puked in hot tub and they didnt bother to clean it!

My husband and I stayed at the Edgewater Resort for our honeymoon this year. We greatly enjoyed our stay in the honeymoon suite. The honeymoon suite was huge and cozy. The bathroom products were all Bath & Body Works which was luxurious. We also had a elecric fireplace, a jacuzzi, a flat screen tv and a great view of Lake Superior from the balcony in our room, I was able to take great pictures of the ships coming into the harbor from our balcony. I found the staff at the Edgewater Resort to be great as when I called and asked about getting the best view in the resort of Lake Superior the staff was helpful to find the perfect room and even mentioned a discount that I could use which I was able to and got half off of our room! The Edgewater is also close to many tourist destinations so that you can tour the area during the day and come relax in the evening, the Egewater even provides pamphlets for the the tourist destinations in the area. The Edgewater Resort made our honeymoon very special. My husband and I would like to come back to the Edgewater Resort again for an anniversary stay in the future.

We stayed here mainly for the water park. However roving groups of hockey players kept us up 2 nights in a row. Did the mgmt do anything, no. Did they assign more then one person for "security" no.
