Holiday Inn Brookline, Brookline

THe location was the only positive, no hot water, small dirty rooms with no natural light or thermostat to control temp. SLow elevator, mediocre breakfast. Would not stay here again.

We were at the hotel for a business training, for about 2 weeks. I shared a room with 3 other girls and after the first girl was completely covered in welts, they assumed she was allergic to the detergent and would not give us a new room. FInally, on the second to last night of our stay (and with all of us now covered in bites) they gave us a new room-with one bed! They still refuse to acknowledge that our room has bed bugs and would likely give it out again! Thus, do not stay here, you might return home with bed bugs! And from personal experience, bed bug bites are absolutely awful! Other than the bed bugs, everything else about the hotel is mediocre. The showers are infrequently hot, the rooms are a standard size, the pool is basically in the lobby section, in the middle of the hotel. However, I think it is not worth the risk of getting bed bugs.

A mile from Fenway with a T stop right across the street from hotel entrance, excellent staff, clean rooms, good food in restaurant, hot coffee always available self serve, safe garage parking for our vehicle at a reasonable rate. Indoor pool was lifesaver since the weather was horrible. Pool area is small and right near some of the rooms ( bad for folks who go to bed early.... ) , and was kind of smelly from wet carpet/musty. We requested adjoining rooms last minute and they were very accomodating! Would DEFINITELY stay there again!!!

This was not explained until after the check came. Odor of rotten citrus fruit coming from the a/c blower. When I reported this to the front desk the attendant acted less than interested. This young african american man really had this layed back...I don't care attitude. He said that he would report it. Nothing was ever done and he never got back to me with an apology. The parking garage gate was out of order. I walked back to the front desk to report this only to find out that the tiny sheet of paper hanging of of the gate that said only "closed" was supposed to be interpeted as go through the in side and the gate would open. The hallways and stairwells really needed vacuming and painting. The elevator was extremely slow componded with my impaitients forced me to the dirty stairwell for a four floor climb. We got a special rate because my daughter was having a proceedure done at Childrens Hospital but even that rate $150 per night was overpriced based on the overall value we experienced.

I liked the location. I disliked the smell of the room, the noise of the air unit, no natural light, outdated rooms.

My father was @ Brigham & Womens and my mother needed to be close by. I spoke with the manager, Nick, who was very helpful. The hotel offers a medical rate as well as a free shuttle. We had booked at another hotel with similar services but quickly moved to the Holiday Inn as this hotel was much better for a similar price. The reduced rate and free shuttle is extremely helpful at a difficult time.

really like the friendly staff. The pool and atriums/courtyards are so nice. Like you're outside. Relaxing to sit out in the courtyards. Being able to park in their lot was very important and without stress of trying to find a space. I had a great weekend visiting my son at college.

Needed a place to stay while family member was a patient in nearby Longwood Area hospital. This hotel gave a nice discount and other ammenities for such an occasion. Staff was professional and helpful, even with last minute changes/needs. Room was clean and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone looking for a clean bed and convenient location.

The only downside was that there were some routine maintenance problems with the ceiling tiles in the hallway. Other than that, everything was great. The breakfast was amazing, the rooms were fine and the location could not have been any better. The T is literally 20 steps from the front door. I read all the other negative comments, and I disagree. We didn't go to Boston for the hotel, we went to see the city and go to Fenway. Before and after the game, instead of taking the crowded train, we walked to and from the hotel. The location is perfect and it is a good stay for sure. Mike McWilliams-North Dakota

The front desk staff is horrible. There's no communication between the managers. They resold my reserved room 3 times. It was a terrible first experience.
