This is a Sheraton?
This hotel is simply stunning from the outside. It looks like a castle! However, you can't always judge a book by it's cover. Right off the bat my experience started negative as I had reserved a smoking room two weeks in advance and was informed that all their smoking rooms were full. Makes you wonder why they even have reservations if they're just going to give the rooms out to somebody else anyways.
My room was clean for the most part, but needed some maintenance. The carpet was worn through in a couple spots and shredded in another. The bathtum looked like it had mildew or something on it and could've used a good scrubbing.
Two things really irked me about this hotel. One, they charge $10 a day for internet. If I'm going to pay $139 a night to stay at a hotel they should throw internet in with the package. Two, my reservation form clearly says "Free continental breakfast provided." However, there is no free breakfast here. What they do have is eggs, bacon, toast, juice, and a beverage for $18, plus a $3 delivery fee, plus 18% gratuity. So, it's about $25 if you want breakfast at the hotel. Also, as sort of a continuation of two, the water from the tap is not very pleasant...so they placed two 1 liter bottles of water on the desk, which is great...except that there's a little tag on each one that says the room will be charged $3.25 per bottle. Talk about nickle and diming a person to death...
In summary, this place may have been a 3 star hotel at one time, but I'm guessing it hasn't been checked out lately. It's an iffy 2 now. Very overpriced for what you get!
