The Breakers Resort, Dennis Port

We booked an overnight for a time share tour through a company (Vacation Resort Services) that promised a $50 gift card for dinner (which I was told I could use that night) and a $50 Walmart/Home Depot gift card. I arrived to a deserted area, called the phone number I was given to figure out where I should go. I was directed to go to a boarded up motel to pick up a key in a mailbox. I questioned the dinner gift certificate and I was told I wouldn't be getting it that night. I called the company that got me there and complained and they told me I could leave and that I would receive the free gifts and my room tax money refunded because I was unhappy. Needless to say, it was an ongoing battle between me and the Breakers and the company. They don't seem to be on the same page. The company acted as though I had not had my ten minute phone conversation with them and told me to speak with the Breakers. Management at the Breakers told me I could not get my mony back, because they might have lost out on money from someone else. (nobody was even there) The property seemed nice, but in my case the procedure and lack of helpful staff was not worth my time!! Good luck to anyone who ventures there!!

We had our first experience with the Breakers last week and were pleasantly surprised. We had never been in Dennisport, staying mainly in Yarmouth. The beach here is nicer, cleaner and less crowded, accomodations are less expensive.

The new building is great. We have yet to have a bad experience at the Breakers. The staff is very considerate, although not as knowledgeable about the area as one would think. Overlooking the dunes, beach and ocean is relaxing and we spent a good deal of time just relaxing in our room, on the spacious balcony. The loft area was interesting, with a spiral staircase. The overall expeience is perfect.

We stayed in the new building and it is a by far the nicest in that area.The prices still haven't goen up even though there was a complket renovation, so we think it is the best value on the water anywhere.
