Was Torn Down
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/14/08
The Buiding was torn down and they are building Hollywood slots where it used to be. The have wonderful bulldozers and Dump trucks from Cinabro. At night you can hear the jackhammers. There are no beds, bathrooms or furnature.

We, in Bangor, have taken care of your concerns...

...this Holiday Inn was razed (Spring 2007) to make way for a Racino (horse betting parlor with slot machines!)

stay somewhere else

This hotel definitely needs major rennovations. The bed was horrible, and everything was just really old and run-down. The only good thing was that pets are allowed.

Awful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/08/06
I wasn't to happy with this hotel at all. First of all they charged me twice, I paid cash upon leaving but the night before they charged my card $193 which I remember asking the girl why she needed the card, she said to secure the room and my card wouldn't be charged. I asked twice if my card would be charged and she told me no, only for me to come home and look online at my banking statement to see my card was charged, now I have to wait 5 dys for the charge to be recredited, the mgr was rude and no help. I've reported them to my bank.

When good enough is not good enough
By David, 03/20/06
I thought the housekeeping staff was polite, efficient and helpful. The bar was understaffed and the food was less than. When my wife and I checked in we were assigned a room in the second building. We were not advised that this building had no elevator and we were on the second floor. I have a heart condition and carrying our bags up the stairs was accomplished slowly and with the assistance of my wife. I might add here that we are 66 and 65 years old respectively. But we did get the bags up and the room was clean and comfortable. I would stay again at the hotel but with the perviso that our room was in the main building with the elevator or on the first floor in the second building. Thank You, David Rowland
