Holiday Inn Waterville, Waterville

As I said, never again. Our room was not very clean, stains on the carpet and chair, exterior doors did NOT lock, allowing people going down the halls all night and a roudy bar onsite. Lots of drinking out in the parking lot - and upon checkout the hotel increased our rate AFTER we had already initialed the rate upon checkin - first time I ever had that happen! Overall a terrible experience, couldn't wait to leave!

Thought that staying in the most expensive place in town would result in a decent experience, but that is not the case. The rooms are OK, they show there age but not a big problem. The problem is the noise, everything from dogs barking in the hallway at 1:00 AM, to hoodlums hollering they have to get out because the police are on there way, to the noisy rude cleaning staff hollering and banging on doors at 7:00 AM to get into rooms. I would NOT recommend this place to anybody. Sleep in the car, you'll be more rested in the morning.

I can almost promise that I will never go back here again! The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, the TV worked... stuff like that. The indoor pool and hot tub was broken, this was not relayed in my payment confirmation. I complained about it and the desk worker (Michelle) told me that it was on the website and that I should have been informed through that. She also told me that I was already getting a good rate. Rude, rude, RUDE!! When you book online with a credit card... it will not charge (or put a hold on) your account until you check in. What they don't tell you is that they are also going to take off an extra $20 a night for in case you buy movies or something. That is a totally backhanded thing to do.. maybe that is normal though.. I don't travel alo but it doesn't seem right to me. Long story short, I wouldn't go back here and I wouldn't recommend any of your guys go there either.. unless you like broken amenties and rude staff!
