Going downhill
We have stayed at the Motor Inn for the past six seasons, and, unfortunately, on this trip, we noticed a definite decline in service, cleanliness, and attitude. The view is still fantastic, of course, so if you're willing to pay top dollar for that alone, you can still go for it.
The floor of the room was filthy, and you have to take maid service on the staff's schedule. If you tell them to come back in a half hour, you won't see them again.
Parking is extremely tight, and security is awful (old key entries, and you have to display your room number in your vehicle!).
Five or six years ago, we really enjoyed the experience, but after this year, we will be looking for a new place next year. They continue to sell out however, which enables owners to be very smug and treat you like they're doing you a favor by letting you stay there.
