Travelodge New Orleans Westbank Hotel, Harvey

Very very dirty and gross! We checked in at 3pm and checked out 15min later. Pieces of sheetrock from the wall all over the floor like someone had just ripped the holder, to hang your clothing on, off the wall, which was under the sink. The sink faucet was loose and barely hanging on. Bathroom door did not shut and really gross hair all over the floor. Beds were just mattresses on box made of wood. Very scary....suspicious men lurking near corners were you need to walk and get to rooms. Lady at the desk was very nice...dont know why she works there. And pools looked very nice but looked like they were making a cheap rap video there.....never ever again!!

I normally never post a comment about hotels I visit but this is an exception. I never have been to such an unprofessional place before in my life. The staff was very unprofessional. The front desk clerk uniform was dirty and nasty all four days we stayed. Obvious never changed it. We changed room twice in two days. The first room had hair in the sheets and soap and shampoo baskets and mold in the shower curtains it was just nasty. We notify the first desk clerk and house keeper that was at 9 am. When we return to our room at 8:30 pm nothing was done about the problem. So I asked to changed rooms. I notice people sitting in lawn chairs in the parking lot barbequing. The room they assigned to us had no working AC we didn’t realize that until we were getting ready for bed that was the worst night I ever had. When I went to the front desk to complain she said oh that room AC doesn’t work no joke I wish they we have passed that information to everyone Including us. The third room was some what better that the previous two. The whole hotel was just nasty. I wish we had not have booked our room online. They had a special and discount rate you get what you pay for. Never stay at the Travelodge West Bank New Orleans.

The young woman behind the desk on May 10th was the only plus at this hotel. Her understanding and patience was most appreciated. The hotel is not in a very good area and has a security fence around the entire property. The first room I was in had hairs between the sheets...both beds. I asked for a new room and was quickly changed. The next room had clean linen, but a remote for the TV with no batteries, a bedside light with burned out bulbs, a towel that obviously had not been washed, and no clock or radio. I know price is a consideration, but I will willingly pay more for cleanliness.

I liked everthing about it, the people behind the desk were really nice, the rooms were clean, comfortable and very relaxing, sadly the weather would not cooperate so we could go swiming, but overall I would stay there again because it was a really nice place. oh for the people who found a rubber in the drawer our room was clean no trash,I give it a 10 out of 10

Three adults (men) wants to visit you april the 20th of 2009 and stay at your hotel untill the 29th same year. We wonder if it's possible to have a roll-in-bed in the double room? And if so, is it without price increase. Please reply at davida@tdcadsl.dk Yours sincerly Kim Glundoe(Denmark)

You get what you pay for, overall a decent place would definately go back if I was ever in the area.

First we took a wrong turn and ended up behind the hotel which turns out is situated in a very bad neighbourhood. We checked in around 8 oclock and the personal seemed friendly. They mentioned they had a deputy patroling the hotel frequently so "nothing would happen to us". When the other people in our group arrived in their room there was a neon light on the bed.. nail clippings all over the floor. The walls looked very nasty. The airconditioning didn't work (and it was HOT) and nobody trusted that bathroom (yuk). To make matters worse they would not give us another room. finally after 11PM a mechanic replaced the airconditioning in the room so we all could finally try to get some sleep. But is wasn't a comfortable one !!

The worst ever First morning we were awake by an employee that came into our room to spray bug control insecticide. We were having breakfast in a dining room and all the tiles on the ceiling were stained yellow. Yummy.....

NIce hotel, loby open late for those late checkins, just about average
