Omni Royal Orleans, New Orleans

Incredible location: just a block away from Bourbon Street and all the sites. Good restaurant in hotel with excellent room service. Old fashioned charm in grand setting. A winner!

During a 1-week business trip, I enjoyed myself so much that I decided to return 11 months later to celebrate my 30th birthday with 4 girlfriends. Do you think the staff remembered me? Of course! This well-appointed hotel is the best one in New Orleans (and I've been to about 5). Yes, the rooms are smaller but this is a historic hotel and guests traveled lightly in the ol' Southern Comfort days. The only reason why I'm sharing this fabulous hideaway is because I want to win this contest to return there! Perhaps I'll see you there!

The Omni is a wonderful, beautiful hotel right in the middle of the french quarter. My husband and I staied their for our anniversary. We staied in a Jr. Jacuzzi Suiet. It was pricey, but worth every penny.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay. This hotel is in the heart of the French Quarter. The breakfast was awesome and the pool bar even better!! Rooms were neat and clean. Great place to go!!

Convenient Location, YES.... I would likely not stay here again. The price was not worth the package. The rooms were clean, but they were tiny (think Paris, France tiny). I am a female and there was a pedestal sink and no real vanity so it made for complicated makeup and hair each morning. I had no view but that wasn't important to me. If you get thirsty and want a drink you can have New Orleans tap water OR 12oz coke from the mini bar (4.75) or some of the evian water (7.00). There were no breakfast accomodations in the morning but a resteraunt yes. I complained that my television was broken and they did come fix it. However, when I went down to ask questions the staff looked at me strange like they were annoyed I was bothering them. I had my car in vallet which was 31.36 per day (that includes tax). When I arrived a bellman, whom I believe was working alone that day, brought my things indoors and I proceded to bring them up to my room. I thought that was strange. When I scheduled my wake-up call for the morning they repeated back to me call for 6a.m. with a 6:15 follow-up which I thought was cool. Even better than that, I DID get a call at 6:15 but I was in the shower at that point and did not answer, so a few moments later there was a knock at my door to make sure I was awake. That was truly impressive. Overall I would say it was so-so. If you are easily content then this will probably work for you.

Not worth $219.00 per night. Hotel is kind of tired-old carpet, etc. Needs a facelift. Bathroom was size of a small closet- double size of the tub and you have the right size. Old picture tube TV. Charge you $10.00 bucks for WiFi. Location is good and staff was friendly, but can probably get a better deal elsewhere. Wouldn't stay here again.

The rooftop pool is great. Nice lounges, plenty of clean towels, games, water, sunblock. The concierges are very helpful. Can't beat the location. 2 blocks from Bourbon, 3 from Decatur.

25 years ago we stayed at the Royal Orleans for a wonderful honeymoon week. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and went back to the now Omni Royal Orleans. It was every bit as wonderful the second time around. We took our honeymoon pictures along and re-took photos and visited places we were that first trip. Your staff is courteous, very customer oriented and location is perfect - in the French Quarters; close to all the action but not right on top of it so we still had opportunties for quiet and relaxation.
