It's funny, after looking at reviews guess we weren't the only one's to have such a horrible time there. Started being put on the side with the power station,( what a great view ) open the door, no fridge or micro in room...however there was mold under soap dishes. Welcome...and while your away, we'll rifle thru your belongings....Don't dream about complaining to mgnt, we'll key your car for your effort's...Addresss it thru customer service and holiday inn corp, they refer you back to the hotel....lots of luck....However there is a up side to all this, I get to have the last laugh........In reserving this room, was offered a deal to come to one or four places, and listen to they're vacation briefing. Ill be more than happy to explain to anyboby who'll listen, about what kind of places they're talking about. It's free for three days, they'll be paying me to leave.

I attended a conference from April 1-April 3rd 2011 at the Holiday Inn/Holidome and absolutely enjoyed my first visit back to the hotel since the remodeling. The hotel food was good (in the restaurant), the conference room was spacious and the area for the outside picnic was "park-like" and beautiful. Thank you very much again for hostessing our group!

I read reviews posted here before I stayed at this location. I have no idea where those people stayed at but it was not at this hotel. I travel a lot and internationally. This service rivals 5 star service staff. The food was excellent! I would not even try another location the next time I am in Lafayette. If you are not sure, stay at this place. Problem free. Pete E. My company had their Managers meeting at the Holidome last March. The front desk staff could use a lesson on Customer Service at that time. The rest of the staff went WAY beyond with their help and consideration. The food for breakfast left a little to be desired. Most of it was cold, don't recommend the breakfast pizza thing.yuck. Lunch and supper were out of this world fantastic. Since then, there have been major changes and every time I walk in the front desk staff are freindly, greet you with a smile and a wonderful hello. The changes they have made in their customer service have been extraordinary. Way to step up everyone. The food for the buffet has jumped a thousand percent. My hat is off to you now. We as a company were so impressed with the changes that we booked our Christmas party as well as all other convention needs with them. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. We look forward to many more years of service from them. I recommend this hotel not only for personal, but aslo for any business needs.

Went to a convention held here over the weekend. We were put in the Atrium... 100+ people...it was miserably hot & I'm the one that is usually freezing!!! The food was served buffet style, they ran out of boiled shrimp in 5 minutes...they also had fried catfish - I've definitely had better and jambalaya - it was terrible...a terrible excuse for jambalaya. They brought out more boiled shrimp about 45 minutes later, they had no taste, no spice what so ever, we weren't even give Tobacco sauce & the 4 little bottles of ketchup had long been emptied. What happened to Cajun cooking & Southern hospitality? Didn't find either here. I asked the girls at the front desk if they could do something about the heat and they just looked at each other like they had no clue & didn't reply. They started to ask someone else, but when they saw I was walking away, they stopped. I left shortly thereafter & skipped the 2nd night of the convention. Won't go back there for anything.

Due to a recent illness in our family my parents and I had to find lodging in the Lafayette area. We were blessed to find the rooms we needed at the Holiday Inn Lafayette. It was conveniently located to meet all our needs. The staff was superior. The rates were the best around. The extra plus was the fact that we didn't have to leave the hotel to find the finest meals at reasonable pricing. Look no further book your next reservations here.

First of all, the room service and food were absolutely WONDERFUL! I cannot express how much we enjoyed the nice delivery people and the food!! I am giving this review a 1 on service for poor customer service (desk), but actual room service is a 5!! However, that is where the good comments stop. My husband and I have stayed here twice, not by personal choice, but for business purposes. On BOTH occasions, we arrived at 4pm to check in to find that we would have to wait another 45 min on the first visit, and 1.5 hrs on the second visit to check into our room because it was not "ready". I'm not sure why they could not put us in another room? The staff at the desk are not very personable. They do not greet you, smile, ask how you are or anything. They are the best example of poor customer service....should be on a customer service teaching video on how NOT to treat customers. The rooms were okay for an older hotel. However, our room had hair stuck to the bathroom door and on the toilet. Some hair had even been painted over!!! The tub needed a good scrub brush to it. I could literally scrape the scum up with my fingernail..but then stopped because it was grossing me out. I decided to just ignore it!! The air conditioner froze up causing water to pour out of the ceiling during our second stay (we got moved to another room the next day). And last, the noise is terrible. I am used to staying in a hotel instead of a motel. The hotel itself cannot help noisy cars and people, but cutting the grass at 8:30PM is a little ridiculous!!! Can't they do that during the day? I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I WOULD, however, recommend the restaurant! The food and the staff in there are WONDERFUL!!!! Maybe you could stay at a nicer hotel down the street and just eat here!! :)

The staff was very impersonable. The hotel was very noisy. The service in the restaurant was slow but the food was ok. The fitted sheets on our bed were stretched out or not the correct size because they came off all night and our heads were laying on the bare mattress. We would never stay at the hotel again and will be cautious to stay at any Holiday Inns again.

I've been staying at the Holiday Inn Holidome for several years with a set rate. When making reservations, about half the time I get transferred to the 1-800 number, and they don't know the local negotiated rate. The other half of the time, the staff gets confused about the rate, and doesn't know either. Making reservations, AND getting the correct rate seemed to be getting more difficult - usually took talking to several clerks and possibly a manager. The last visit was the last straw - quoted one rate at reservation time, they changed it upon check-in, then changed it back to the quoted rate. On checking out, the rate changed to yet a third price. A person I assume was a night manager, ending her shift early in the morning grudgingly agreed to change it back, but barked that the rate was no longer valid. I won't go back, and I was really sold on Holiday Inn up until this experience. Get it together Holiday Inn. You're letting the image tarnish.

We had a wonderful stay. Everything that you could possibly want was there. Lots of things to keep children occupied. GREAT STAFF!
