Quality Hotel Houma, Houma

This is a old run down Holiday Inn, The wifi internet has a very very weak signal, and No one in three days to fix it. breakfast is not to normal standards; unless you prefer biskits and gravy. Old ac units are noisy, Not cleanand spruced up as standard Quality Hotels.

My Hummer was vandalized overnight in the parking lot. No security on premised. The passenger door has a hole through it that looks like it was created with a hammer. There are shoe mark on the back of the vehicle where it was kicked.

i stayed here with my husband on a business trip and it was a great place. he had to stay there 2 weeks out of the month for 4 months. he didnt have any problems.

The staff here is some of the most hospitable I have ever encountered, I just held a huge event at their hotel and things went very smoothly; great rooms, accomodations, free breakfast and banquet food, Cheers to Houma Quality Inn for a great hotel

I booked a room on Thanksgiving day, the place was deserted. Even though only a few rooms were taken, they put me underneath the only one undergoing construction, refused to move me without charging me. The drywall hammering started at 7 a.m. and stopped at around 6. Just plain IGNORANT !!!!!! They have lost the entire business of my company who reserves about 20 rooms a month !

The Bride booked the room for me..as I was coming from out of town. I was pleasantly surpised and had an enjoyable trip. It was clean and the service was excellent. My mascara ran on a pillow case overnight, as folks were visiting me in my room I turned the pillow over and discovered that night that the maid who cleaned my room noticed it and had changed the pillow case. Other little things popped up during my 3 night stay and the staff was not only helpful but went out of their way to accomodate me. Food and beds were excellent. This is definately NOT the same hotel it was years ago. You can feel and see the effort being expended to continuously improve and upgrade the facilities and service. This is the perfect place to stay for folks with kids..the pool,arcade,rec area and vending are centrally located and no bleachy chlorine smells. Plenty to keep bored kids well occupied but close by. I'll be staying here again.

Just a GOD aweful place to stay. There are many new hotels in and around Houma area pay the extra price and know that you will be more pleased with your stay. To much to mention on this hotel and I see that management has posted a review trying to make this hotel look good. Well as a past guest, I know what I have seen and had to indure while staying there and it was not by any means a pleasant stay. And I agree with one of the reviews posted here, in 2007 the pool area still smells the bleach something horrible. I too could go on and on about this place but also to much to mention.

The Quality Hotel in Houma has undergone a facelift in the last several years, with new ownership taking over in late 2005. We have worked very hard to upgrade our hotel, particularly the guest rooms, to give our guests the most enjoyable and comfortable stay possible. Our bedding has been upgraded with new mattresses, down comforters, and trillium pillows. We are in the process of installing wireless Internet access for the convenience of our guests, which should be completed by early October, 2007. The bathrooms have been upgraded with new granite countertops and the dome area has been modernized as well. We will continue to work hard to make the necessary upgrades to give our guests the quality stay they deserve. We certainly would appreciate your business and hope you'll consider our hotel for your next stay.

I booked a suite almost 2 months in advance. I asked how many people the suite slept and I was told 6. A king size upstairs and a pull out sofa bed, plus we could get a rollaway if needed. We have stayed there for many years during the Mardi Gras weekend, so instead of getting a regular room, we thought it would be nice to get a suite to have more room since there was 6 of us. Well, that was the worst experience I have ever had. First off, when walking into the suite, there was no TV and no trash cans expect the small ones in the bathroom. After the parade we came back to the room tired and wanted to go staight to bed, well, when we pulled out the sofa bed, it was BROKEN and the mattress was paper thin. The front desk clerk was very RUDE, saying that all the sofa beds in the suites were broken and the lady who took our reservation shouldn't have told us that it slept 6,and that she no longer worked there, there was nothing he could do, so there was 6 people trying to sleep in 1 bed. Needless to say there were no rollaway beds avaiable either. One couple took the bed and the rest of us SLEPT ON THE FLOOR. The next day they would accomadate us with another room but wanted to charge us the full price of $90.00, I had already given them $450.00. Those suites run for $200.00 per night. I refused to give them any more of my money so they gave me a discount of a mere $25.00 per night. I haven't even started with what was wrong with the room, shower leaked everywhere, not enough towels for 6 people, some lights not working, smelled bad,and the bar was not even open on a Saturday night! I could go on and on, but running out of room and time. So, I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN. This hotel has gone way down hill. There are new hotels popping up there in Houma, so they will get my hard earned money from now on.

BE AWARE! READ THIS BEFORE YOU MAKE A RESERVATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My family and I went to this hotel for a dance recital the weekend of June 11th 2006. We were to stay for 2 nights. We made reservations almost 2 months in advance. We were given a smoking room with only one bed. We reserved a non-somking room with 2 double beds. The room REEKED THE SMELL OF SMOKE! It was terrible. Both my children have asthma, and when we went into the room my youngest child started to wheeze and cough. When I went to the front desk to see why we had a smoking room when we reserved a non-smoking and why we had a single double bed instead of 2 double beds, the manager (who was a RUDE woman ) preceded to tell me that when we make a reservation in advance you are just requesting a particular room. The hotel can give you whatever room they choose, you are only requesting a room. I have called the main Choice Hotels International customer service department and reported this incident, but i still have not heard from the Quality Inn in Houma. I won't hold my breath because I am not ready to die! SO BE WARE OF THIS PLACE! I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! YOU MAKE A RESERVATION AND GET WHAT THEY WILL GIVE YOU!
