The Patio Motel, New Orleans

THE FIRST THING thing is the hotel is OVER A UNDERGROUND PARKING LOT. the front desk is OUTSIDE of the hotel and there is a WALL bettween the office and the elevator where you go up to your room. I asked if it was a safe neighborhood when i called they said it was BUT when i got there the front desk told me DO NOT go out at night. The ONLY way to discribe this hotel is SCARY! The only reason i stayed there is i didnt have the money tor a credit card or I would of stayed somewhere else. hurricain katrina could of done the world a favor by knocking this hotel completely down

Halls smell bad, neighborhood is very scary, carpet looks like it hadn't been cleaned in years,something scary was in the blow dryer, the tub had burn marks on it. Don't do it. There's a reason its so cheap. Although I've usually stayed at these Inns and they are nice everywhere else. Just not this one.

We drove to the place and they acted like they didn't know we were coming, although we had reservations. We went up to the room which was already accupied. The hallways smelled terrible. Our children were frightened. We decided to stay elsewhere but were still billed for the room through our credit card. It really needs to be closed or be honest about its poor service.

It seems as though this motel is appropriate for a bunch of college buddies to stay at while partying in New Orleans, however, it's not appropriate to bring your wife, girlfriend, or family. Not a very safe feeling neighborhood after dark. The downtown shuttle was nice though.
