Unfotunately, we don't have a choice about being here. We're here on business and the company decided that this was where they wanted to put us (probably because it's a real *bargain*) even though we're on the other side of town from where the office is located. In all, you can tell this *used* to be a really nice hotel. But that was a long time ago. And it appears that no one wants to put money back into the place. Now I could live with things being a little worn and dated, I'm no princess. The bathroom is quite in need of renovation. I've found ice machines not working. The fitness room has a few rickety lame machines. The front lobby area looks nice enough but one you make your way to your room you'll notice that the place is in need of repair and upgrades throughout. The worst however, is that just today we got locked out of our room. And not because we were stupid and forgot our key-card. No, we got locked out because the hotel is a dump and no money is being put back into it and therefore the cardreader on the door did not work. We have a suite with three doors. Two of which I had deadbolted (so the key-card won't work on those). The third door that I exited from failed to read the key-card. No explanation for why it wouldn't work. And it took far too long for maintenance to get us back into our room. So, basically just to be safe, we can really only come and go through the one door. Again, I'm no primadona, it doesn't bother me that there are inconvinences and things aren't sparkly new but just too many things have added up to make this hotel a bad place to stay. Avoid it if you can. And if you are forced to be here because your company wants to save a buck, please pass along this review to whomever makes such decisions. Don't make your employees stay here!
