Quality Inn Lawrence, Lawrence

Starting to show its age. Some peeling paint on the bathroom ceiling. No problems though. Good basic lodging.

We stayed here one night in February with our dog (pets allowed!). Although it is a bit old, it is very secure and welcoming. We are currently staying here (and enjoying the free wi-fi!). Many rooms have a balcony or a patio.

I've heard mix reviews for this place, so i wasnt so sure about the place. When we arrived in Lawrence for a basketball game we decided to give it a shot and are we glad. The front desk lady was extremely nice and freindly. The rates were good and our room was clean and didnt smell. The breakfast was good with a decent selection. The beds were very comfortable. When we go back to lawrence for another basketball game, we will be staying there again.

We reserved 24 rooms for our daughter's wedding, leaving gift baskets with the front desk and asked them to deliver them to the correct room for the guests when they arrived. This was never done. Various guests were told they didn't have a reservation or that there were no rooms at all! I was told that they would have breakfast for everyone in a basement room the morning after the wedding. The breakfast was there and cold and the person serving it smelled so badly that it over powered the aroma of food, so no one wanted to stay for breakfast. The night of the wedding, we got back to our room and as it turns out everyone else, including ourselves couldn't get into our rooms! The night desk clerk had all he could take and left! We found a master key behind the front desk and it wouldn't even work! At 4:00 a.m. we were still not in our rooms! We ended up having to call the police, they in turn called the manager and she very begrungingly came and got us into another room at 4:30 a.m.! At 9:00 a.m. we received a phone call from the front desk telling us they had gotten us into our own rooms! So with 4 hours sleep, we got our things and left! The manager had the audasity to complain to us that her "security camera" had been broken and claimed that we had done it! I beg you, if you go to Lawrence, pray you don't have to stay there!

The price was very good! The breakfast was probably one of the best we've had! I liked the fact that our room was inside and we had a little patio too. Very nice place to stay in! Not much was offered on TV. They only carried Kansas City stations. I would have thought since this was Lawrence we would get Sunflower Cable and some Topeka stations. I was sort of disappointed with lack of the choice for channels.

We stayed on 6/20/07 in a very nice room. It seemed like it had been recently remodeled. Very clean and comfortable. Great location to resturants and the park is right behind the motel. We went for a evening walk,leaving from the sliding glass door in our room. Price was very reasonable for this spacious room.

The hotel is fabulous!!! Of course it's older that's a given, but considering it's age, it's held up very nicely and they have remodeled what was needed. The downstairs, basement type rooms were perfect! They were nice and cool and walked right out to the park! The breakfast was to die for!! Thank you so much to the staff at the Quality Inn for making my stay perfect!! I believe their names were Julie and Terra that really helped me out a lot.

We stayed there July 2005, for six nights - daughter's softball tournament. Plenty of room for five of us, The place isn't new by any means and shows a bit of wear & tear, but everything was clean and fit our family's needs perfectly and the price for our budget was excellent!

The Quality Inn, in Lawrence, Kansas is clearly not a luxury hotel, nor would anyone expect it to be at the price. My room, though small, was immaculate, and everthing worked, though I did have to have my plastic key remagnetized once during my stay. The continental breakfast was more than adequate, and I especially enjoyed the auto-matic waffle maker. There was no musty smell, as in many motels, and everything was conveniently located. I noticed that the motel accepts pets. This was neither a convenience nor a liability for me, but some travelers would appreciate this amenity. The room temperature was a bit difficult to control, and my room was slightly warmer than I like. Otherwise, it was a good choice, and I'll use it again if I ever travel to Lawrence.

Our guest room in this hotel was ver small but for an economy priced hotel, it was pretty good. The bathroom was nice and our room had a balcony. The room also included amenities like an iron and ironing board...nice. However, there was a mix up when we checked out. We had one room for one night, for which we paid for on a credit card upon arrival. The following week, we were charged for 2 more rooms. After calling, we were told that we were never checked out so they thought that we were still staying there at the present time.
