Excellent lodging at a modest price
The Quality Inn, in Lawrence, Kansas is clearly not a luxury hotel, nor would anyone expect it to be at the price. My room, though small, was immaculate, and everthing worked, though I did have to have my plastic key remagnetized once during my stay. The continental breakfast was more than adequate, and I especially enjoyed the auto-matic waffle maker.
There was no musty smell, as in many motels, and everything was conveniently located. I noticed that the motel accepts pets. This was neither a convenience nor a liability for me, but some travelers would appreciate this amenity.
The room temperature was a bit difficult to control, and my room was slightly warmer than I like. Otherwise, it was a good choice, and I'll use it again if I ever travel to Lawrence.
