Nightmare
By Michelle, 3/27/12
We arrived around 8:30 pm on Friday, hoping to relax a little in the pool/hot tub. When we got there. Shortly upon arriving to the pool area we were told the pools were closed due to vomit/bowel movements in the pool, but that we could swim in an hour. Not likely. The next afternoon we again headed to the pool to relax only to find an extreme amount of chlorine in the pool. ( probably to overcome the previous nights events) . Beside the pool, which started off our weekend, the beds/pillows were uncomfortable, the room, the staff was unfriendly and the hotel was very noisy after 10 pm. It is advertised as a "family friendly" hotel, yet there were several loud parties going on all weekend. I expect a lot more for the prices they charge. NEVER going to stay there again!!

Excellent In Every Way
I was leery of staying in this hotel after reading the reviews on here, but I had already booked our room before I found this site...We found our room to be perfect..it was clean, it was not outdated at all (we had an outer room, one not connected to the pool area). The staff was friendly and accommodating. We went from one pool to the next...I watched a baseball game while sitting in the pool...my son had a blast playing in the pool with the slides. The buffet at the hotel's restaurant was very good...We will definitely be coming back next Summer.

This will be our new familiy tradition!

We had such a great time here! The pools were great for our 4 and 5 year olds. The room was very nice with a little patio area. The location couldn't be better! The staff was very friendly. We will be returning every year. Thank you!

Pleasantly surprized!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/23/10
I spent a very snowy week-end there in Iowa with my 2 grandkids. I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews, but our room was clean and in good shape. The Inn was totally booked but the pools and staff handled the crowd very well. It is a great place to get away from the miserable Iowa weather in the middle of Winter, with no windows to remind you of what is going on outside! I wish the rooms had a micro wave to go along with the fridge, or there was a breakfast area that had a microwave; then it would have been worth the high price. I also would have liked to be able to drink my coffee while watching the kids swim! We will probably be back.

we take our entire family to adventureland every july. everyone enjoys it tremendously. we have run into a few problems, but the staff have been more than helpful to fix whatever problem we encounter. we will be back again this july,. poolside rooms are great but sometimes a little noisy in the late evening.

fair

Easy access to the park~the trolley a big plus. We visit year after year and the rooms are always filthy. Also, a little to pricey for overall quality. Instead of the "pool guy" worrying about what beverages one has or hasn't purchased from the hotel they should spend their money on a lifeguard as there are so many children swimming in the pools~my son had a near drowning incident~thankfully my husband and I were there . Everytime I have gotten a roll-a-way it has always been broken or in need of repair.

simple and clean
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/10/09
My children (6 & 9), and I had a very nice stay here. After driving from Kansas City to enjoy Adventureland, it was super convienent to stay where we played. Although I thought the price was a little step it was worth it overall. The rooms were nice, clean and staff was friendly. Two interactive pool areas and the room service made this trip much more comfortable. We stayed on the far side of the pools which I believe were a step up from the poolside rooms, lacking a flat panel TV and such. I would stay here again.

GREAT LITTLE PLACE
By MICHAEL, 2/23/09
VERY VERY nice. Our family of 5 loved this hotel, mainly because of the fast shuttle to Adventureland. It had 2 nice pools and a poolside bar(loved that). The restaurant looked and smelled great, yet we did not go, we ate ate the park. Had a great time and we will go again in 2009!!!

The rooms are small, but you can just literally walk to the park. It was very fun. The pools were amazing!
