Disgusting!
When we arrived at the hotel, we thought it would be fine, as the lobby seemed nice enough for a budget hotel. However, the rooms were another matter.
We went through five or six rooms until we found one that didn't smell like smoke, didn't have cigarette burns in the furniture upholstery, didn't have strange-looking stains on the wall in the bathroom, and wasn't all-around dingy. But then things took a turn for the worse.
While looking for the jack for the "free internet access" (which wasn't in the room, by the way) I found a used condom stuck to the wall behind the pillow on the bed. Completely disgusting.
When I confronted the man at the desk, he complained more about us trying out different rooms than the fact that I found a used condom in the final room. He was very uncooperative when I told him we were leaving the hotel (thoroughly disgusted) and demanded a refund.
Honestly, I was quite surprised, as other Days Inns at which I've stayed in other parts of the country were perfectly fine. This one, however, was not.
