Rodeway Inn, Fort Wayne

This place is horrible. There is no heat in the pool area. It smells bad in here and the cable is out and has been out all week. I would never stay here again andfor the money that you pay for a room you would assume that the tv would work and that you could use the pool without needing carharts to walk in to the room. BUYER BEWARE!!! When you are miles from home and cannot even watch tv that is sad.

There was no proper heat except in the hallways and lobby area. The pool area was too cold to sit around the pool. Games were old. Hot tub didn't work. Lots of leaks in the roof. buckets sitting around catching water. My first room had water standing in the bathroom floor so I switched rooms. The second room had no heat. So I switched again. The third room brought the temperature up to tolerable. My family wasn't with me so it was okay, but uncomfortable. Every time I flushed the toilet, I had to lift the back and fix the float so the toilet wouldn't run forever. TV worked great which was good since it was too cold in my room to do anything but crawl in the bed and watch tv.

This place is a joke, we took the kids there this weekend 10/28/07. The pool was ok, the rooms not very nice, half the lights didnt work. HARDLY ANY OF THE EQUIPMENT IN THE FITNESS ROOM WORKED, HARDLY ANY OF THE GAMES WORKED IN THE GAME ROOM FOR THE KIDS, AND THEN THEY GOT CHEATED ON TOKENS FROM THE MACHINE. THEN THIS MORNING WHEN WE WENT TO LET THEM PLAY THE POOL AND THE HOT TUB WERE BOTH CLOSED UP FOR CLEANING. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE WE WILL NEVER GO AGAIN. AND WE HAD RENTED TWO ROOMS THE BREAKFAST IS NOT FREE ON THE WEEKENDS EITHER, IT WAS 6.00 FOR ADULTS AND 3.00 FOR KIDS. SORRY NOT A HAPPY PERSON AFTER BEING THERE

This place is terrible. Our room was filthy even after being cleaned by the maid service. Our kids couldn't use the dome area because the hotel booked a rap band that played 'til 3 AM. The hotel had Ft Wayne cops doing security. When an open door was brought to an officer's attention, he told us that they had half the gangsters of Fort Wayne in the hotel tonight! We told the manager that we wouldn't be paying our bill for our stay. She was very apologetic but also realized her hands were tied. Lastly, don't bother getting a room key if you stay here. Our door didn't lock anyways!

After reading some of the previous reviews, I had my reservations about visiting this hotel but decided to give it a try. Wow, were people correct when they had commented about unclean conditions. Our bedspread was tastefully decorated in cigarett burns and stains (we asked for a non-smoking room) and there was a beautiful hole right in the middle. The carpet was very dirty and stained from who knows what. I made my 9 month stay in his pack-and-play or on a towel. Our bathroom was actually not to bad when considering how dirty the rest of the hotel was. The pool had lots of floaties in it and trash was everwhere. Cement work around the pool was cracked and broken. I only seen one guy making an effort to pick up dirty towels from around the pool area. Whenever we seen the basket full of clean towels, we took what we needed because clean towles were hard to come by. Broken wristbands laid all over the pool area along with clumps of hair and dirt around the drains. Huge chunks of mulch that were in the dome area for decoration were not swept up. I thought by morning, things would be neater since they could come in and clean when everyone was back in their rooms but nope, everything was left just where it was the night before. And of course, my kids did not notice all the grime and dirt. They just saw a pool, baby pool and huge jungle-gym contraption to play on. They had a blast and want to go back. One positive...the pool temperature was great. If you are low on money and can handle some dirty conditions, I would say go for it. It could be a very nice hotel if the owner/operators would put some money back into the place by updating the rooms and pool. And they need to hire some real cleaning people to actually clean everything everyday and night.

WE stayed here to to take a little break and enjoy the swimming pool and hot tub. Well, we did not get to use either (they were broke) Our kids were so upset it was just awful. The Hotel was very dirty - we could not put the 8 mo. old baby on the floor. There was music that played all night long in the pool area so we had a hard time sleeping. We brought this to the Manager's attention and all he said was "you wanted a room and we provided you with that." So please don't plan on using any of their extras. I would never stay here again!!!

Love the ping pong table and the whole gameroom. The chlorine in the pool was a litte too powerful for me and my dad's eyes!

The room was clean, but aged. There were very few guests at the hotel, but I was placed in a room at the back of the hotel next to the interstate. It was not a problem until I shut the light off and tried to sleep. The trucks on the backside of the hotel (I-69) are extremely loud. I wonder why with so few guests, the rooms closest to the interstate (40-50 feet tops)were used.

We stayed over last Christmas break and the only 'bad' point was that the building did show its age somewhat. BUT, the service was very good, the Fun Dome was a great way to entertain 7 kids while the adults relaxed and visited, we are planning to return again this year... The Rooms were clean, the location was convenient to I-69, the malls in the area and several restaurants. The staff was courteous and helpful. The food in the dining room/restaurant was good but very limited selection and scant hours of availability.

The carpet in my room was filthy, and the odor was terrible, maid service was good. But the overall stay was not good.
