Wonderful!

The beds and pillows in this hotel are so comfortable! The staff is very friendly, the location is wonderful, right on Michigan Ave! The food was wonderful as well. Would highly recommend!

The Westin: Deceiving

I did not enjoy my stay at this particular hotel. When I first read the description of the hotel I was excited, and when I got there, the excitement plummetted. First off, the room was incredibly small. My roomates and I could not go from one side of the room to the other without saying "excuse me, but, can you get the heck out of my way?" The bathroom was clean, but the shower was awful. Imagine being squirted with a mini water gun, that's what it felt like when taking a shower. No activities in the hotel whatsover. I was looking forward to the recreation center, but it was out of service. I paid good money for this hotel and I did not get what I had expected. I will not be staying at this hotel next time I visit Chicago.

this place is excellent

I liked the place a whole lot I went here for my senoir prom and I really enjoyed it. I had the time of my life the staff were friendly and the doorman was extra nice and also polite. I had no dislikes about this place at all.

A luxurious experience!

The Westin was a beautiful hotel. The reservation desk staff were courteous, spoke several languages, and went out of their way to help guests. The room was very nice, the bathroom's deep tub a delight. I especially liked the robe's tag which said something to effect that if I really really liked it, I could purchase it versus packing it in a very nice humorous manner (I kept the tag, not the robe). I felt pampered and enjoyed my stay immensely.

Overall a Good Experience

This hotel was in a good location for shopping, and a $10 cab ride from the museums. The room was clean and the service was excellent, but our room was so small it was difficult to walk in. We booked our room through a "discount" website, so possibly the room we were assigned was due to that, and not representative of the hotel. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was wonderful, and reasonably priced.

The location of the hotel is excellent. There are a multitude of things of places to visit in the area. The heavenly bed is not just a description - it really was.

Value for the $$$

I enjoyed my stay at the Westin in May 2005. This was my first time at the Westin. The room itself was great-right across from the Hancock building. The staff was nice and helpful. The only complaint I have was that the room was rather noisy. I go to Chicago purely for the night life so my days are spent sleeping. I could hear everything that was happening in the room next to me, above me and in the hall way. Not to mention the street noise. Did I mention it was across from the Hancock building? This negative is not enough to keep me from returning here. I am going to book my next stay right now!

Best in Chicago

The service was not 5 star but it sure was close. Like most places in Chicago the Westin is busy and if someone is looking for a calm place to be this isn't it. However, if you do enjoy city travel you will find great rooms at a great price. All of the luxury that one would expect out of a great hotel is at the Westin. The beds, pool and overall environment such as the halls, elevators just make you feel welcome. The access that one has to the city of Chicago is also a great plus. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants a great value on a fine, fine hotel.
