Days Inn Rantoul, Rantoul

We went on New Years Eve and the pool was freezing. We asked them if the pool was heated before we booked the room and they assured us it was.WRONG!!! They turned it up but it never got warm enough. I would never go back there. They just need to close it down and be done with it.

This is the worst hotel I have EVER been to. The hotel was filthy. The pool was slimy, the halls were so terribly smelly and those were good points!! Our room smelled of urine and beer. The tub had hair in it and the toilet did not work properly. The sheets were filthy and when we asked if the sheets were changed, we were told that they were short staffed. We checked out right away and drove 25 miles to a nicer hotel at a cheaper cost. Please don't waste your time and money on this one.

Don't let the pictures fool you! This was the most disgusting hotel I have stayed in! Our first room and hallway smelled gross with cigarette smoke, when I asked to change I was told the entire hotel was non smoking, then why was there an ashtray in the room? The only other room offered was in front of the ice machine and vending machine Oh and in the hallway with the unlocked entrance door. I felt the staff was very unwilling to accomodate me, I told them it was just my daughter and myself and would feel safer away from the unlocked door, but the staff just replyed " they never had any problems before". Since I was staying 2 nights and it didn't look like many others had checked in yet I think they were very unaccomodating. Actually noise not too bad, except for a man yelling at 2:30 in the morning for someone to open the door and then on the second morning vacuuming in the room next door at 8:30 in the morning. Just a total feeling of unease and I will make sure to let anyone and everyone know not to stay here.

We had stayed at this motel during a february horse sale. It was dirty and it has the coldest pool ever. The staff was inconsiderate and colder than the pool. They didn't care because there aren't many area motels. It was too much of an effort for them to make coffee in the A.M. It should be reported to the health authorities for dirt in the furniture. YUCK. It was cleaner in the sale barn.
