This is a Gem in the rough

I have stayed in many, many hotels across the country (including many Holiday Inns). This property has something that is very difficult to find today.....great customer service!!!!! Norma, the front desk manager has a GREAT attitude and trains her staff to give positively outrageous service! The food compares to ANY 5 star hotel or resturant. Head Chef Mata maintains a very high quality product and gives satisfaction. I recommend this hotel highly

Good value; right off the I-55

Pros: Excellent location, private access third floor with large rooms. Have stayed at dozens of Holiday Inns, and this was above average for the franchise. Any rate under $100 is a nice deal here. Good soundproofing. Attractive lobby and bar as well as an excellent buffet breakfast. Three miles from train into town (40 minutes to Union station). Cons: Stayed three nights, and room key needed to be re-activated twice. Oddly, the desk clerks had a difficult time giving precise directions to nearest train station.

We totally enjoyed the food and the pool,it was a very nice stay.The room service was timely and without flaws,and the restaurant was a wonderful dining experience.
 
 
 
 
 
Don't stay at this hotel

The hotel staff are extremely rude and impatient. Plus the airport shuttle was non-functional. For over $100 per night, I think customers deserve to be treated with respect.
