Motel 6, Collinsville

Pet urine smell and insensitivity of the staff. I cannot trust the Motel 6 name to randomly pick a motel on the road after this experience. I requested my money back as it was that bad. The staff seemed used to fielding complaints. Since we were so tired and feeling somewhat ill, we would have left and went to a different hotel. This place surpasses the Super 8 in Iowa City, IA (from 6 years ago) as the worst hotel experience.

The staff was friendly and never had any problems with reservations. I had 1 bad experience with this hotel. I did reserve a smoking room and when I went and checked in, the room had not been cleaned, beds were unmade, ashtrays laying on beds, and bathroom was a mess. I went to front desk and they almost blamed me for it. Since then I have had no problems.

if your coming to st.louis you can stay here,,,so many resturants and they have family fun time,,awsome place ,,splash city,,all within a five minute drive,,,its sweet.

We had stayed at Best Western Collinsville Inn before, but this experience was awful. We normally stay in a ground floor non- smoking room and have been very please. The room was clean. This experience was terrible. We are not smokers and we were put in a smoking room with burn marks all over the carpet and reeked of cigarette smoke. The room was not clean and the linens were thread worn and shabby. We normally enjoy spending some restful time in a motel room, but this was not possible in this stinky room. We asked specifically for a non-smoking room. The desk clerk was not helpful. We will re-think staying there again.
