Just not worth saving a few bucks
Walking it the smell of natural gas hung in the air. The natural gas fireplace must be leaking? The ceiling in the lobby was leaking like the (really nice) waterfall on the wall. The roof was leaking in the bar area to the extent that the water was splashing out into the walkway 5 feet away. The room didn't stink, but it wasn't nice. The bathroom was old. The tub was dirty and constantly leaked. The heat was tricky to adjust because the knob was broken. The 1970's wall paper needs to be updated. The bed sheets are like sandpaper and are old. Whoever painted the place last should consider a new career. I was there on business, but there are many other places around that have to be better. They can't be worse. Staff was clueless, but nice enough. I will NOT stay here again. There is a place next door (roughly the same price) and a new hotel (for twice the price) down the road.
Still, the pool area looked good. The "gym" was not a gym. 2 cardio machines does not qualify as a gym or a fitness center.
Good location for where I was working.
If this were my own money, I'd spend the extra to go some place else.
