Would rather stay at the Bates Motel!

My wife and I have stayed here twice in the last year, both times were extremely unpleasant and forgettable experiences. The only time we chose to stay the last time was due to it being the only place still available in the Sandpoint area, and for very good reason i'm sure. Upon arriving in our room we were greeted with a very foul odor (not to mention the burning stench of the chlorine in the swimming pool, which you could smell at any point in the building). It turned out it was the mold growing up and down our bathroom walls. The guests were extremely loud throughout the night, which wouldn't have been so bad had the rooms been at least a little soundproof. Unfortunately, you could hear a pin drop down the hall in that place. Which was very unfortunate because all of the doors to the rooms are extremely heavy and don't just close, they slam automatically. If a person entered or exited their room in a 20 room radius, you were sure to not only hear it, but feel the vibrations as well. We were woken up no less than a half dozen times throughout the evening. At the $109.00 price that we were to pay, we would have expected at least a complimentary toothbrush upon request. Instead, we were told that "we usually carry them but it looks like someone isn't doing their job, we haven't had any for 3 months now." Upon requesting a water pitcher for our room, we were told "usually we have keys to the kitchen but I don't know what happened to it. Our maintenance guy should have one but he hasn't shown up for work." Finally, after a lousy nights' sleep we were awoken to the conversation of the housekeepers' right outside our door. They were so loud I could have recited their entire 20 minute conversation back to them, word for word. Upon my wife politely asking them if they would mind moving the conversation down the hall, they replied with "maybe you should just get up!!!!" We were utterly shocked as you can imagine. Upon bringing this to the manager, we did receive 70% off of our bill, but to us that still wasn't good enough. It was very obvious to us that neither management or staff really took much concern over the guests overall experience. It was a truly forgettable experience. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy, which very well could now be the hotel itself!!!!
