Near Airport, Comfortable Stay
The Best Western Vista Inn at the Airport is what a traveler expects in a hotel of this class. It's new, has comfortable beds, as one traveler noted, flat panel plasma television with 48 channels, wireless internet access, meeting facilities, breakfast bar, pool, and an associated restaurant.
The employees have been excellent. Front desk staff have been helpful, attentive and courteous. The grounds and pool are well kept. The rooms neat and clean.
As noted in its name, it is blocks from Boise's airport. For the shuttling traveler who doesn't mind walking, almost anything one could want, except a shopping mall is within a mile or two.
This is a pleasant stay. There is an inner hall with lots of seating and discussing areas. I didn't investigate the conference center, although my traveling partner on this trip has been to a meeting there, for probably fifty people. The bed is comfortable, the room chain hotel pleasant, the desk chair solid and comfortable. The dresser is small, just enough to say, "Yes Virginia, there is a dresser."
The adjacent Kopper Kitchen restaurant had good food and service, when I ate there. The hotel breakfast bar was decent. The big attraction is self-cooked waffles. There was also oatmeal and cold cereals, a lot of pastries in plastic wrap, industrial hard-boiled eggs, white bread in plastic, juice, coffee and tea.
I'm here for work, and need a decent place to come home at night. This place and location are a good fit.
