Red Lion Canyon Springs, Twin Falls

Carpets were stained, especially in the hallways.We had to ask after the 2nd day to vaccum and empty our trash. The sheets were thread- bare,and the toilets were nasty.We had to clean our own coffee pot.There were no safety bars in the showers.Rooms needed updated. The front of the motel , bar and restaurant were very nice. We used the front restrooms- they were very clean.

I booked my travel more that two months in advance. Special request for pool side room with patio. Arrived early in the afternoon to find I was booked in a room at the back of the motel..no patio or outside exit from the room. I expressed my wishes and was told to take it or leave it. Not friendly staff at the desk at all. I paid the same price as those with the pool view and patio.

The management is Friendly and Courteous, The rooms were comfortable, and clean, and the Restaurant has an outstanding Chef and wait staff. The Breakfast was delicious and the Steak dinner was one of the best around. Stayed two nights there and it was perfect Thanks so much!!! I'll be back....

First thing that I noticed when I walked into the room was the moldy smell. Perhaps from humidity. The room hallway was like a closet, and the room was very narrow. The building is old and the walls are paper thin. I could smell the stale cigarette oder from a adjacent room. The front desk personal was friendly. The internet connection was intermittent, fading in and out. The restaurant was closed in the afternoon and again when I went for dinner at 9:45. I will not stay here again.

We have stayed at the Canyon Springs motel for years when it was owned by various different companies. We have always been very pleased with our rooms and the facilities in general. Not long ago they got wonderful new king-sized mattresses - soooo comfy - but - they very much need to get some better bedding! On our recent stay we had to get up several times during the night and tuck the bottom sheet back in - it was really too small for the bed and if a person moved even a tiny bit it came untucked and then got all bunched up in the middle of the bed and it was not comfortable. Also, the mattress pad was only big enough to cover about half the bed!! I would think a facility that could afford those wonderful mattresses could also afford fitted bottom sheets for their beds! Also, whoever made up the bed put the bottom sheet on, then the blanket, then another sheet - there was no sheet between the blanket and the bottom sheet and I don't know many people who want to sleep with the blanket next to their skin - so - we had to redo that part of the bedding. We'd like to continue to make the Canyon Springs our destination when we have a get-away weekend in Twin (from Nampa, Idaho) but unless the bedding situation improves I think we'll have to try the AmeriTel next door - our friends stayed there and we looked at their room - it was quite nice, had a microwave - a sink outside the bathroom making it easier for two people to get ready in the mornings - they offer a free, full breakfast - the room price was less - and - their bed had a fitted bottom sheet!!
