I Had the timeof my life,At Ohana Waikiki Village
By ,
I loved the balcony, and the 180 degree view of the sea and mountains,I could see Pearl Harbor.A grocery store was very close! I only would sleep three hours a night! I sat on the balcony and laid in the bed looking out the sliding doors to see the stars and Honolulu skyline. I always dream of returning! The hotel just keeps calling me back,I've got to answer and revisit Heaven On Earth,The room was great, the cleaning was second to none, and the staff kind. It's the stairway to heaven at that wonderful place on the balcony . If I had a choice to stay free at a beach front six star hotel I'd prefer the same room at the Ohana Waikiki Village hotel paying ! The memories will be forever in my mind. I've never been happier or more excited. The International Market was close and enjoyable. But by far the hotel was the high light of the vacation. The star lights and the city lights were the most beautiful view,Only the sunrise, sunset, and fire works could compare to what looked like heaven on earth..The horizion and Wakiki Beach are so great to experience. It will allow anyone to realize how amazing life truly is,and how much fun it is to be in the closest thing to heaven.Life is good sitting among the clouds on the corner balcony at Ohana Waikiki Villiage. And experience the pleasure of the mist and beauty of being in the clouds like a bird. To sit and enjoy the view Flowers, palm trees and eat pineapples. The beauty of Ohana Wakiki Hotel on Lewers St. and at Wakiki Beach.I know it's the best experience I'll ever have unless I return to this most wonderful hotel on earth! If you don;t beleive me ,go see for yourself , memories will call you back too.My favorite music was I'll Reember you.I have two of Hawaii's state flowers (Hibiscus) in my home. And nothing but fond memories of my wonderful stay at the Ohana Wakiki Villiage! I had so much fun! I would recommend it to every body to stay in their paridse hotel. It was worth every penny and the time could not be rivaled at no other hotel,it is simply the best! The flight was long but worth every mile to enjoy the best ten days of my life.By the way ,it was my husbandsdream to go back to Hawaii after returning from service and seeing the volcanos from above on his flight, and landing at Honolulu ,only to depart for home following his return from Vietnam. He and I went to Wakiki for the time of our life. Then our son and he went and visited all the islands.Life is a dream come true.Despite his disability and how hard it was on him,God answered his pray! Everyone before they die shoul really live life to the fullest at the Ohana Wakiki Village! My heart body and soul was at peace.God blessed us and I hope to return but I'll have to go without the love of my life. He'll be watching me from Heaven and singing a joyful Hawaiian song. The Ohana Wakiki Village is like no other place in the world! Especially on that great balcony in the sky. Then you can retreat to the room and relax. And enjoy the good food at their reastraunt where everything is good! I didn't want to leave and if I could have just one wish come true ,other than having my husband back. It would be to relive my stay there and my dreams would come true.Theres no place like it on earth.I hope the staff is prould of theirself, because they make you feel welcome. For the whole visit I didn't once think about there's no place like home. When we boarded the flight to go home I begged my husband please let's get off the plane and not go back. Our son can visit us.Thats how great it was to be there where you're treated so nice you never want to leave.I pray I will go back to the place I belong. Because thats the best place to visit, time seems to pass too quickly. I've never be happier. It was great and I shall never forget it. Life is good at the Ohana Wakiki Village! It doesn't get any better than that. I hope each person who reads this gets to stay there too! Sincerely ,its a dream come true!

Best vacation ever
By ,
The location was great could not complain everything was walking distance around. And if we toured the bus came right to the hotel to pick us up. The only thing we dislike was the elevators only 1 worked most of the time so you had to stand and wait sometimes it took a little long. But we really liked it there and we are planning to come back in 3 years the year 2008 for 1 month.

Look close - it's really not bad
By ,
I booked this hotel by mistake BUT - it was a nice surprise. The location on Lewers Street makes the first impression somewhat dark and dingy, but that is due to the sun is hidden behind the high rise hotels which suround the property. The room was very comfortable and arranged well even if small. I booked a standard room but ended up with a separate sitting area with kitchenette. Ask for an ocean side room. Oh yeah - very small unattractive pool and very little sun. The front desk staff was very helpful - especially "So'o". A hospitality room was available to shower us after check out since my flight was later on. This allowed me to continue to enjoy the area while my bags were under lock and key. And I still got to clean up before getting on the plane to the next island. I'd stay here again.

Ubanity on the Beach
By ,
Room was clean, but rather small. The bathroom was especialy cramped. There were several gift shops in the lobby that were handy for postcards, asprin, etc.. The cleaning lady was very helpful opening our Lanai, but the front desk insisted that I stop by the desk to check out. That was kind of irritating, since they didn't do anything but look at the computer and say, "Ok, have a nice day". I was running late and it would have been nice to bypass the whole "Front Desk" experience.

Honeymoon and First Time in Hawaii
By ,
I read other reviews of Ohana Waikiki Village and was worried because this was my honeymoon and first time in Hawaii. I laughed at the reviews once I checked-in. The room was great, the service was awesome, and it is right in the center of action at a great price. You have the beach one block away, restaurants, museums all around you. Not to mention a tourist system open from 7:30am - 5pm to set up tours and shows. We loved it and it was great from check-in to check-out.

A good hotel close to the beach and shops
By ,
i read a lot of reviews about this hotel before booking it and am very glad i did rather than believe all the petty complaints about it. we were there 7 nights from september 19th 2004 to september 25th 2004. there are 3 elevators and they are no slower than those of other hotels i have stayed in. yes sometimes they were slow but in my experience that turned out to be kids pressing the buttons for every floor. parking is $10 a day. the charges for phone, coffee and room safe were very clearly marked and contrary to other complaints i read all the hotel staff were incredibly polite and friendly. when we asked about calling California the front desk staff suggested we use the pay phone instead as the connection and charge from the room was very expensive. also contrary to other complaints no one tried to sell me an upgrade when we checked in. the room was spacious and bright and yes the bathroom fixtures may be a tad old but they worked just fine. read a complaint about the Tv and of course there are not that many channels to choose from, maybe 10, but who is in Waikiki to sit in your room and watch Tv. the room was clean, the towels and linen clean and the room was serviced every day and vacuumed as well. if like us you packed light, the hotel has laundry facilities just off the lobby which we were very pleased to use. Lewers street should probably be named Ohana street as they have a number of hotels on it. all of them, including the Waikiki village, are just a couple minutes walk from the beach. based on my experience, i definitely recommend this hotel and contrary to people saying you can get 4 or 5 star hotels in Waikiki for a few $'s more. i never found them, for double the price or more then yes but that is not a few $'s. we are going back to Oahu in november and we will stay at the Ohana Village.
