Marina Tower Hotel, Honolulu

I rated this hotel as 1 star, but even 1 star is too much for it, because that place is hard to call hotel, better to call it shelter!!!!!!!!!! There is nothing else to say!!!!!!!

The hotel was great for the price. My room felt homey. It was great having the kithenette in the room. Staff was friendly. No complaints.

Great place being located near the large shopping plaza. Staff were friendly. However, don't expect extra's. It is just a place to sleep. The rooms are large and clean. The only thing that bothered me was a squeaky elevator that made it a litte hard to sleep. (I am a light sleeper).

This is a great location for an extended stay while working. The room view from the upper floors of the water, marina and water traffic is fantastic. Condo maid service is now daily. The kitchen is limited but a plus. The window air conditioner was a surprise but it is quiet and works efficiently. The closet is small, would not hold long dresses or clothing, however there is little need for even a sport coat for work here. Hotel just inside Waikiki which saves time getting to the government, banking or defense locations. I would definitely stay here again.

I came to Hawaii October 31-Nov. 9th to see my boyfriend who was stationed here in 2008. We booked this plac thru a vacation agency that highly recomended it. Well when we got their the place looked nice from the outside but looked aweful on the inside the floors were dirty we were told that the one we were staying was originally a condo that the owner rented out. The only good part about our room was that we were up on the 30 something floor so we could see the nice boats cross the street and the ocean. We hated it so badly that we got our money back and stayed somewhere else. It was a horrible experience the jack hammering was sti going on when we stayed there!!

I loved the purple carpets they were really welcoming and the staff was really well monnored and the food was amazing i loved that hotel

Despite the run down condition of the room, and false advertised amenities; breakfast and internet connection included. My room was infested with cockroaches. If you like to have a party with roaches stay at the Aqua Marina RoacHOTEL.

We just arrived home after spending 7 days in the Aqua Marina. I have to say we did have a lovely room with built in drawers below the room length windows, fantastic view of the ocean, convenient kitchenette with a working dishwasher, air conditioning that kept our room a comfy 68 degrees,ample closet space and NO BUGS!!!. The staff with the exception of one young man who worked nights was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were kept clean, the pool was clean as was the jacuzzi and the laundry room. The bus stops right on the corner and will take you just about anywhere you want to go. The staff at the desk were always helpful with directions and bus route info. If you are into shopping the high end shops like Gucci, Prada, St. John, Channel etc. Ala Moana shopping mall is a five minute walk from the hotel. If you are looking for the granduer of the larger hotels than you will be disappointed. We were comfortable with the accomodations and the price.

If you should stay in lower season, you can get wonderful ocean view from upper level. Terrible elevator,but nice mountain view from inside! Close to Alamoana shops and Hilton resorts.

I enjoyed my stay with Aqua Marina...the office staff was very helpful and friendly. The cleaning and maintenance staff equally as nice and helpful and came almost on the spot when I reported my phone had this blinking light I could not make go away. My room was nice, with an equipped kitchen and microwave and coffee pot. But, hey, who wants to cook on vacation. It was just right to be lazy in the morning with coffee and the staff would bring pastries to your door. The view was breath taking. The Aqua Marina is an older hotel, it is kept very clean and maintained and works great for someone on a budget. When your in Hawaii who is staying in the room all day anyway. One thing, not to do with the hotel...do not use Mr. K tours, its a major joke.
