Moana Surfrider A Westin Resort and Spa Waikiki Beach, Honolulu

The only good thing about the hotel is its location. Literally right next to the center of the Waikiki beach. The hotel itself; however, is absolutely HORRIBLE with smelly rooms and bad service. Here's a list of a few things that went wrong w/ our hotel stay: a. we were in the beginning of our honeymoon. The hotel gave us a room with twin beds instead of a queen or a king even though we booked a king size room. b. Upon learning it was our honeymoon, the front desk said to us "well, so is everyone else here" c. We asked to speak to the manager who didn't show up until 90 minutes later, claiming "there are a lot of complains, I can't be there every single time. I just have to trust that the front desk can handle it" d. after much debate, they found a room with queen bed. We checked in. The room smelled like urine! e. After we complained about the urine smell, viola - they found another queen size room. We checked in. This time, we found green "growth" on their pink carpet. We complained again. This time, the staff told us that there's absolutely nothing they can do. They suggest that we find a hotel somewhere else and they will let us cancel our reservation w/o any penalties. We went down the block to Halekulani and had an absolutely lovely time there....

The Sheraton Moana Surfrider boasts a fantastic location on Waikiki.But it is very busy and the bath room is very small. Based on overall value, I�m not able to recommend this property. There are a variety of other hotels in the immediate vicinity that provide a better return on vacation dollars spent.

I think this hotel is one of the best hotel that I've ever stayed. everyone was friendly, and kind. Location is great, they have a private beach just in front of the hotel. Every room faces to the beach so you can always see the beach just right there.

The hotel has an old world quality to it. My wife and I went there for the first time in October 2006,when they had an earthquake. The hotel staff was amazing, though there was no power we were treated to beverages and snacks on the beautiful veranda until night fell. This is the best hotel in the islands.

We stayed 3 times at this hotel and everytime in the same room! The service is fantastic and the garden awesome. The atmosphere of this more than 100 year old building is unbeatable. The breakfast at the veranda restaurant is perfect. We love this hotel and it gives you with the traditional hula show the best hawaiian feeling. The Sheraton Moana Surfrider is the heart of Waikiki!!

Beautiful old Victorian hotel that offers wonderful hospitality and charm. We enjoyed sitting under the wonderfully old Banyan tree that graces the courtyard next to the pool and Waikiki beach. After a long day of walking, we relaxed on the graceful porch in rocking chairs and watch the people go by. Upstairs we explored a fascinating collection of early 1900 memorabilia. The hotel has a slight musty smell but is charming in it's ambience of the early 1900's ambience.

Okay, I know what you are thinking it is pricey. Well maybe so but you are right on Waikiki Beach, one of the most beautiful sections, with fine white sand. There is a patio that is idea for sunbathing, sunset and sunrise watch , and did I mention the bar. Patio bar with scenic view of Diamond Head, and superfriendly staff will make all your stress melt away. Enjoy a Blue Hawaiian while relaxing by surf and kick back and enjoy, you will get what you paid for here.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. I have not had the privilege to stay here yet, but I've been through the entire hotel and by the hotel on numerous stays in Honolulu. The Hotel itself is stunning visually. It is right in the middle of downtown Waikiki, and it sits on the beach! It has beautifully decorated suites. Cheryl and I will probably stay there on our next trip!

I think this hotel is not good as it said. Exepensive, and not friendly front desk people, no internet room. Entertainment is bad!!! I prefer to stay sheraton next to it next time.
