By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/30/11
i really liked this place it was very clean and the people was very nice. it was ran very well adn the view from my room was amazing. the location was also good you was right by the beach and really anything you needed was right there. it was also very easy to find. my only dislike was in my room the balconany door was broke so i couldnt go out it but it didnt really matter me and my boyfriend didnt spend much time in the room. over all i would go back it a heart beat.

nice and pleasant one
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/6/11
i like the location its just half block away from the beach. the room are clean and nice. but the ocean view room is not that worth it cause the Aston hotel in front of them blocks almost more that half the view. When i was there for 6 nites these staff were helpful " LYNN "' and DOUGLAS . They really have passion to help the customer and enjoy it. I just dont want to get close to other front desk person because they just are irritating and not helpful, plus they get dont want to help. LYNN has worked as a travel agent before so she can help you with the tour schedule. i didnt know this till i was flying back. my bad.

Not a Vacation Room.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/28/11
We made reservations here and got in early so we just showed up and they got us a room for one night then had to find another place for 2 more nights. we can do that. we got to the room, there was a fresh puke stain that lead from the bed to the bathroom, the beds were tiny and OLD and--Crunchy? I think is the word. The AC unit was loud and we could hardly sleep. The building actally sways with the wind. tiny Tv, and no coffee maker or microwave. Bathroom was old and had mildew on the shower. this place was just over nasty..good location 1 block from the beach. Still I would NEVER stay they again or let anyone I know. We cancelled our 2 week reservation an got lucky with another hotel, a little bit more money but worth it. leasoned learned cheap mean CHEAP!! they also messed up our reservation and then got very rude when we tried to cancell telling us they could charge the whole stay even if we didn't stay. Still had to pay for the 1st night to cancel but just to get out it was worth it.

This place is OLD!
By JM, 2/24/11
Old, Old old old old.... This place has not been remodeled for 40-50 years. They will remodel and be closed for one year beginning this spring.... It has a good location and the Staff was friendly. The room was clean, or as clean as you can get for a 40-50 year old room. Dimly lit halls with fluorescent lighting were creepy. My room had no room number, so they decided to put a piece of masking tape with the number written on it (Ghetto style). It may be cheap, but to me it still is not worth the money.

never again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/17/10
This hotel should be torn down. Service was not great either! Elevators sounded like they were on last strings, didn't think we would make it up to our room. Pool was very nasty, ice machines were disgusting and outside where they stayed hot! Bathroom had mold in shower and when your turned on air conditioner it made the room smell funny. Our door to the room broke several times and we couldn't leave until someone came to fix it... the list goes on. It's not worth the money you pay to stay. We will never stay here again, this is more the ware and tare from tourists! Carpets were stained and dirty paint peeling off the walls in room and mold in the shower? Is that ware and tare? It's not in my book. Motel 6 would have been better and cheaper then this dump!

You get what you pay for
By JoP, 2/16/10
Thank goodness we only have to stay there one night. We paid a fairly cheap price for our stay which is good. The area is 2 blocks away from the ocean and it is situated nearby shopping areas and restaurants. However, the room we stayed at was dirty. The fridge was rusty. The carpet was a little wet too by the restroom where the fridge was at. The bed wasnt that comfortable either. We only used the room to sleep and take a shower. If you are planning to look for a comfortable and clean room, this isnt the hotel for you.

Great stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/10/10
We booked Castle Ocean Resort Hotel Waikiki for our winter holidays. The hotel is very clean, well maintained, and very close to the beach (less than two minutes walk). The location is close to all attractions in Waikiki, just a step away from the bus and shuttle transportation. Very kind and friendly staff. We were very pleased with the high level of professionalism of the receptionists; their kindness and flexibility as well with their response to all our needs. The rooms are nice, large and offer great view from any side of the hotel. Chances are to see either the ocean or the Diamond Head volcano. The ocean view rooms offer an opportunity to see the traditional Friday night fireworks. The hotel offers easy and comfortable access to make arrangements for everything available of all the islands’ tourist attractions. We would stay there again with pleasure!

when will they condemn this place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/24/09
first i had booked online and when i got there this place best accomidations were in the bushes at the entrance after i saw my room the place is a total dump after further viewing of reviews the worst one doesn't do it justice. when i talked to the front desk about my room and i checked out after maybe thirty minutes there the person at the front desk said since i paid a online service deal with them so thats there excuse for not keeping it clean. and honolulu chamber of commerce or the health department should inspect this place and others similar and shut these dumps down now
