Have re-booked!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/09
Reception was very friendly, we received a room upgrade - great ocean views. "Quiet" location as far as Waikiki goes. Rooms very clean and comfortable, well serviced daily. Great pool area. Excellent breakfasts. We stayed at three different hotels last visit as a "sampler" - Wyland Marriott, Aqua Wave Jnr Suite & Hilton Prince Kuhio which was the best! Happy Hour at Marriott Wyland was the best happy hour in Waikiki! .... and believe me, we tried lots.

We can't wait to get back!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/24/08
Our visit was 20 years ago when the hotel was the Outrigger Prince Kuhio. In reviewing the pictures it brings back such nostalgia. We are planning a return trip this year almost 20 years to the date of our last. This would definately by my choice again due to the pleasant experiences we had the first time. Keep up the good work. Our choice of views was the mountain view as it is so surreal.

Stayed Here every year for 7 years!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/24/07
Sometimes multiple times a year, we keep coming back. We KNOW we will get quality service at an excellent value. We stick with what we know, and we know that the Prince Kuhio is a hotel we can trust.

Great Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/25/06
My husband and I stayed at the Radisson Prince Kuhio 03/26/06 to 04/01/06. Our overall experience was great. We had an oceanview room with a lanai that wrapped around so we could actually see the ocean and the mountains. All the workers were very pleasant when checking in and out we had a late flight so they allowed us to keep our luggage behind the front desk while we went on a tour before our flight left. The only problem I had with the hotel was the bathrooms are extremely SMALL and the it holds water so after you shower the floor is soak and wet from condensation. I know they are in the process of renovation so for all you men who must have your TV's they had signs up that said all rooms will have flat screens by August of this year. The only other thing I found kind of irritating was you have to insert your room key in the elevator in order to get to your floor. That can become a nuissance if you are forgetful (like I am) Overall we had an enjoyable experience and will return.

Nice place to stay in Waikiki
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/27/06
Pros: 1) Great location (walk distance to Waikiki Beach) 2) Great price (got it less than $100/day including tax) 3) Remodeling (until end of 2006) wasn't an issue 4) Friendly staff 5) We checked in as early as 11AM Cons: 1) Room is small (compared to our condo in Maui) 2) Need to pay extra for ocean view, king size bed 3) Food is expensive (highly recommend Perry's Smorgy Restaurants a few blocks up Kuhio Ave)

One night stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/17/06
I give it a pretty good rating because the staff was incredibly friendly and professional. The room was nicely decorated, but it had a slight smell everytime I entered it. The smell seemd to go away when I opened the siding glass doors to the balcony, however there was a fair amount of street noise, once the door was open. The breakfast buffet had a great selection, however with the exception of the fresh fruit it was pretty bland.

Here's the Skinny
By fd, 11/07/05
Just got back last week from Prince Kuhio. This hotel isn't even close to a four star. Our first night was miserable, the bed was the hardest we have ever experienced with springs poking through the mattress pad. We also had a big cockroach in our room NO LIE and this is a Radisson Hotel. Its not like we are expecting much, a comfortable bed, insect free room give me a break! We were moved to a new room later that day,the next bed was same hard as rock but no springs sticking out and no insects. Elevators are still being renovated so only 2 available so long waits. This hotel also needs to clean their carpets in the rooms so bring slippers. On the good side, good location, nice pool , food is mediocre (runny breakfast scrambled eggs) Pool bar is friendly and nice to have. No we wouldn't stay there again. P.S. this is my 7th time time to Hawaii. I love it so much nothing would spoil my vacatiion there even a hotel like this!

It was a wonderful experience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/10/05
My husband and I stayed here in June for our anniversary. We chose this hotel after reading many many many reviews on all of the hotels. For the money, this is definitely a good place to stay. It is very convenient to everything...beach, shopping, dining, etc. When we purchased our trip online the buffett breakfast was not included in our price; however, when we arrived they told us we had it too. It was very relaxing every morning to just go downstairs and enjoy a wonderful breakfast. We would definitely stay here again. Our oceanview was fabulous. If you are an extremely picky person, you might want to stay elsewhere. The room was not the largest and the bathroom was very small. This is the only negative I can come up with.
