This is a very frustrating hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/03/09
The park attendant is so rude and I've called the front desk requesting a wine opener, the agent who answered my request told me why dont you come to the front and pick it up.. what a poor customer service! thats why, to you guys out there if you can't handle good service to your guest better close your hotel or else train your staff in dealing with your guest politely, remember guest pay your salary!!!! I'm not recommending this to my friends and family..

Good value
By David, 10/16/09
Great location for visiting friends or relatives in the Kahului area. Lot of conveniences near the hotel (malls, eateries, airport). Friendly front desk, rooms are clean. Hallway/corridor not the greatest but it is okay. We stayed on Garden side (Supreme standard room) which is nice and quiet -away from parking lot which is outside of cheaper rooms. If you are not on a special vacation or on a limited budget or don't want to spend a bunch for a hotel room this hotel is good. We have stayed at the neighboring Maui Beach which is a little more expensive and more recently renovated. That is a good value too but the Seaside rooms are larger.

Not Bad!!!!!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/22/09
Upon check-in we were upgraded to a Deluxe Tower unit. Quite large with 2 double beds, dressers, small ice box and table/chairs. The room was clean and everthing worked fine. The bed was firm but not overly. The size of the 19" analog tv was adequate but the reption was outstanding. Internet cost me $25 per week and parking's $5 per night, unless you want to park in a dark grass area adjacent to the hotel parking lot. The rooms were quiet from outside noise and staff were friendly. We saw no insects, all though a flying termite warning is provided with the room's literature. No hair dryer or iron is provided and the room's a/c was on the loud side. Overall a 4 on a 5 point scale.

Cockroaches!
By Sheri, 04/20/09
Yes, I know Hawaii has cockroaches. BUT THEY SHOULD NOT BE IN YOUR HOTEL BED!!! And this one was giant, almost two inches. We saw one of his smaller friends earlier on the curtain, and who knows how many more of their buddies were lurking around. Needless to say, we got the hell out of there. The last thing I needed was some cockroach imbedding itself in my ear canal. We slept in our rental car that night, which was more preferable than sleeping with cockroaches. Oh, the hotel, don't stay there, don't even stay in Kahului. Aside from the rather awesome movie theater, there is really nothing there except big box stores. We ended up in Lahaina and loved every minute of it. A really authentic experience over there, with great restaurants and shops, and tons of local artists. And, of course, awesome beaches. It turned out to be a really fabulous trip. Don't let the Maui Seaside Hotel ruin your trip!

RETURN CUSTOMER NEVER TO BOOK THERE AGAIN!
By shirley, 03/16/09
THIS WAS MY 5TH VISIT TO THIS HOTEL,AND I WILL NEVER BOOK THERE AGAIN. NOW YOU MUST PAY $5 DOLLAR A NITE TO PARK THERE. THE PARKING IS VERY LIMITED AS IS, AND NOW BECAUSE THEY HAVE OPENED A NEW RESTURANT PARKING IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE BETWEEN 6PM ND 9:30 PM. INSTEAD OF CHARGING PEOPLE WHO EAT THERE OR HAVE THEM PARK AT THE LOT NEXT DOOR THEY CHARGE THE GUESTS AT THE HOTEL!.. MY DAUGHTER AND I BOTH HAD NUMEROUS BITES AND SHE DID NEED ANTIBIOTICS FOR HERS, YES THEY MOVED OUR ROOM , BUT THAT ROOM GAVE US EVEN MORE BITES. WHEN WE CHECKED OUT THE MANAGER SAID "ARE YOU SURE YOU GOT BIT?" AND SHE DID SEE THE BITES ON MY DAUGHTERS FACE. SHE SAID THAT THE EXTERMINATOR COULDNT FIND ANYTHING... THATS BECAUSE THE BITES WERE FROM THE PILLOWS AND BED. OUR BLANKET HAD HAIR FROM SOMEONE ELSE ON IT,,, IVE PUT UP WITH A LOT IN THE PREVIOUS 4 VISITS, BUT I ASSURE YOU I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN. IVE BEEN BACK A WEEK AND STILL HAVE BITES THAT HAVENT HEALED. THIS IS A HOTEL THAT AAA HAS RECOMMENDED. I WILL BE INFORMING THEM OF ALL OF THIS. I HOPE YOU DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE BOOKING THERE. TRULY YOU ARE NOT SAVING WHEN YOU STAY AT A PLACE LIKE THIS. LOVE MAUI. TOTALLY DISGUSTED WITH MAUI SEASIDE HOTEL.

We won't go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/13/08
The bed was very uncomfortable. After drying your hair with the very thin towel the hotel provides, the towel is so damp/wet to dry the rest of your body. Beware of getting sprinkled on by water on the hotel grounds. There are no signs around the hotel walls or grounds of the times the water sprinklers will be turned on. On the good side, the staff was great. The food at the Coconut Grill Restaurant is excellent. Very friendly and courteous servers. I would definite go back to the restaurant.

Thanks for the stay.
By Rodney, 09/02/08
The workers were very happy here. We were greeted when we arrived with Aloha and when we left. Good room cleaning, grounds people did a great job with keeping the landscaping groomed. Security was alert and freindly. Hotel is central good for which ever direction you go. Lobby has a great display to photo with. I was very proud to see our Great Flags of Freedom blowing with the soft trade winds. Thankyou all for a pleasant stay. ALOHA R.T. from Oahu

My first pick on this side of the island
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/03/08
Nice staff, clean accommodations, within walking distance to local shopping and local flavor. The locations is awesomely relaxing. Within driving distance of all major site son Maui. Parking can be a challenge at this location depending on the season and time of day. Spent two weeks with this hotel as our base for daily adventures on Maui - I would definitely stay here again.

Try this Hotel, I did and would go back again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/05/08
Despite reading some poor reviews of this hotel I still decided to give it a try. What can I say! Clean and spacious rooms, very helpful and friendly staff every day, excellent location, Coconut Restaraunt provided excellent choice of well prepared food served by very helpfull staff. OK, so I was staying on a budget and this suited my pocket, but as a traveller all theway from England it was just what I wanted. If I go back to Maui I would stay here again.

great experience, great staff
By niftington@aol.com, 03/28/08
For the price, the room was very comfortable and very clean, the staff was very accommodating and friendly. we found the restaurant, Coconut Grill, to be an excellent place to eat with a great menu. It was very convenient to beable to eat at the hotel rather than having to search for another restaurant. We particulalry enjoyed their wonderful breakfast menu. We were very satisfied with the Maui Seaside Hotel and will not hesitate to stay there again.
