Can't wait to return

Great spot close to airport and central to the largest town. service was excellent! The girls at the front desk were awesome. The pools were some of the nicest that I have seen for family resorts.

Enjoyable 1st Hawaii experience
By ,
This was our first trip to Hawaii, ever. Compared to the prices of the other hotels on the island, I was worried that this one wouldn't be that good because of the great price. I was wrong! The room was large and the king bed was very comfortable too! From the beginning to the end of our stay, everyone was VERY nice. They had a "thank you" reception every evening from 5-6pm with bottomless, wine, Mai Tai's, and beers. Then they had a torch lighting ceremony that just got you in the mood. They had a crab and prime rib buffett on Friday night for $39. The cost was a little on the high end and they could have had more items to chose from for the price but the food was good anyhow. The pools are lovely and there are 3 of them. The kiddie pool is a sand bottom one so they feel like they are on the beach (which is just feet away anyway). The waterfalls outside by the pools are the perfect place to take photos too. I would suggest to rent a car while you are here so you can go to other places to eat. We didn't and had to eat at the hotel most of the time and the room service options are few and far between. But it provided a great atmosphere of the islands and I would stay here again if I came back to Kauai!!!

First time in Kaua'i
By ,
The first night in the hotel, the mold had me awake with a migraine and extreme nausea. We luckily had the hotel maintenance remove the air filters and afterwards I slept much more peacefully. Our oceanview room was magnificent. Only wish I had known about villas directly on beach which I would have picked first. Meals were fantastic. We were given a breakfast package which was great. One problem though, If you choose to eat outside, beware the birds and their droppings. Many tourist have continually fed the birds and they hover like mad, even walking on the tables. Overall, a nice hotel but when i return, If I cannot get a better room, I'm going to the Hyatt!!!

Read this before you book your stay at the Radisson
By ,
The four rooms we saw were dark and dingy with filthy carpet. The first room had mold in the closet. The second room had garbage (like candy wrappers, diaper bag, crumbs) under the beds. They offered to upgrade us to the handicapped room, however the walls vibrated from being too close to the lounge. The fourth room hadn't been vacuumed (crumbs and breathright strips stuck to the dirty carpet). All rooms were old with flouresant lighting (flip the switch and wait 30 seconds for the light to come on). Went to the bathroom in the middle of the night - 50 ants in the sink. Looked like 200 dead bugs in the overhead light fixture in the elevator. Beach unuseable, pools mediocre. Rooms had 2 full size beds (hope you like to snuggle close). Mountain view? More like parking lot view. Older croud. We left at 6:00am and headed to the Grand Hyatt in Poipu. That's the place to stay, but also double the price. My advice...save your money until you can afford The Grand Hyatt or bring a tent and camp on the beach. If filth doesn't bother you then go ahead and book the Radisson. We're not snobs but do demand a clean and pleasant room.

Very entertaining
By ,
This is one of the best places on the island to go. The price is reasonable for what you get. The rooms are kind of old school, but upgraded throughout. They have 3 pools- including lava rock waterfalls and a sand bottom lagoon- which is great for the kids. The location is excellent. It's about 10 minutes from the airport- which is great when you really need to catch a flight. The staff is extremely friendly... which is hard to believe- compared to every other hotel we stayed at(ie... The Princeville Hotel... but that's another story- so DON'T stay there), they were by far the most outgoing in personality and service. There is a nightly Hula and Tiki torch ceremony which is very fun to watch- they have the guests out there to do it with them... and the middle aged "white men" were the most hysterical to watch!- They can never move their hips. They offer a 5pm happy hour, with free cocktails and juices... don't be fooled though- they're weaker than water, and the strong ones never get any stronger! But over all, the Radisson is beautiful and enchanting, with the scenery and tropical environment. PS... Don't forget your industrial strength bug spray!

great place to stay
By ,
My two favorite things about this hotel were the grounds and the spa. The pools were a close second. The location is great, the restaurant has a beautiful view and a great breakfast, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We have stayed her three times and keep coming back! Also lots of fun extras, like hula lessons and lounge entertainment. I would definately recommend this hotel!

Good for a short stay
By ,
The property was clean and the location was advantageous to scouting the east side of the island. We stayed here for 2 nights before heading to another resort. The mgmt used a very good photographer on the pool area, which isn't nearly as large or close to the ocean as they would have you believe from their photos. All in all, it was a good value for the money spent.

Perfect Paradise
By ,
When I imagine a resort, this is what I imagine. Beautiful ocean view room, dark furniture, several pools, jacuzzi, waterfalls, spa, workout facilities. The internet cafe is available for those who can not truely get away from the real world. Raddison has everything! Happy hour at the pool bar between 5 - 6 with free drinks for all guests! It is wonderful to watch the whales in the ocean while meeting other travelers from around the world. The staff kept those drinks flowing!!

A Gem in the Jungle
By ,
My wife and I were attending a wedding on the Garden Island of Kauai. The hotel was beautiful and quite romantic. The evening show by the pool was quite thrilling with all the fire and island music. The only thing I disliked about my stay was that it was far too short in duration.

Overall Good Location & Very Clean, Great Pools.
By ,
We liked the location. It was central to the sites and activities. The garden area and pools were wonderful with lots of room. Free valet was very nice! They also allowed late check out at 2pm which was great. Service sometimes lacked friendliness at the front desk and the coffee shop. The pool towels had to be checked out daily and sometimes we had to wait to get them or check them back in. We had the breakfast buffet at the restaurant and it was very good.
