Best stay I've had in quite a while
I go to Atlanta frequently, but never have to book a hotel room. My last visit I brought family so we had to book a hotel room. I like the Quality Inn so I suggested this particular location solely because of it's price and location. I was very pleased that I did. The rate was reasonable, the room was clean, spacious, everything worked properly. The continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Usually for this price range you get juice, coffee and a muffin. Not here. You get ''real'' breakfast. The lobby atmosphere was also great. Quiet enough to eat breakfast, read the paper and catch up on the local news. Just SUPER!! The staff was friendly and informative.
I recently stayed in a LARGE expensive chain hotel (not in ATL), and I would have rather chosen a Quality Inn except this was a company paid stay. Paying more money doesn't necessarily mean better room, service etc.... At least not when I compare the famous name hotel I stayed in compared to this Quality Inn. No it's not in the fanciest neighborhood in the city, but I didn't hear any noise outside our door and we were on the first floor right by the entrance. Maybe that's why. But I also wasn't out walking around at 5am either. I was there to rest. Unless something crazy happened in the past couple of months since I've been there, I would stay here before going anywhere else.
To make a long story short-if you're on vacation and trying to find a nice place to rest your head (like the average person looking for a hotel room, you're only there to sleep-not stake out the hotel), you won't go wrong with this one. Can't speak on the others, but this Quality Inn suited us just fine. We even had extra money to shop on :-)
