Needs remodeling & service improvement

The price is low and you get what you pay for. Room 1125 have stained carpeting and wall paper, in room safe didn't work, the king size bed was comfortable though slept like a baby. Plus internet service kept kicking us off every five minutes, call main deck 3 times, twice they transfer me to their TI person to fix the problem, then the main desk said that the manager would call, which he never did. They agreed to removed the charge, but on check day, there it was, with the long distance charges to their Tech rep to try to find their internet problem! The Bell Hop was not at thier station twice on 10/17 & 18 when I tried to check my lap top. (HINT: if you have problems, at the lobby elevators, their is a unmarked door to your right where the manager's hide, there is where I had to go to get my laptop checked) Another time I actually went back into the storage area looking for someone to get my lap top, took 5 minutes for security and the valet to come to get my lap top. I tip the security man $2 for getting my laptop for me. No one apolizes for anything. They also have a free suttle to take you to local locations, but with my group, when each of them ask what the number was to call to get a ride back to the hotel, one said they didn't know and on two other occasions each person were given a number that when called had been disconnected. Needless to say a complimentary area shuttle within 3.0 MI radius of the hotel isn't a bargin if you have to walk back. The hotel is within walking distance (thank goodness) of perimeter mall and MARTA Dunwoody station and the MARTA subway will take you to the airport.
The resturant at the hotel had good oatmeal on 10/17 about 8:30am, though when the bill came in a black bill folder, I put the money in the folder and expected it to be picked up and returned with my change. No, instead after I waited 10 minutes in this empty resturant I took the folder to the front where the waitress decided to change my $20 out of her pocket. Whatever, considering the service in the hotel, they are likely underpaid and gotta make ends meet somehow. The pool was nice and big for laps, 4 feet deep all across, though it does have a liner, likely to leaks. excercise equipment was in good order. The grounds are beautiful with pools and creeks and very relaxing to sit or hike on the trails. Bottom line if you want good service, this is not the place to go, but for a notch or two above a motel 6 then you will be in heaven.
