Quality Inn Lake Park, Lake Park

I passed through here one weekend with my family. The beginning experience was a bit uneasy. Checking in was a bit difficult. The man who was there almost seemed rude, However breakfast was great and the nice lady (wilene?) was really helpful with checkout and was in a cheerful mood. I'd give 5 stars for service if I didn't have such difficulty checking in.

I recently made reservations with this hotel. I reserved a great price online. After arriviing at the hotel I needed additional blankets for my two little ones. They informed me that they only had (1) blanket in the entire hotel (amazing). He then proceded to inform me that I could rent a roller bed b/c that is the only place that the extra blankets were. He called several of his relatives to ask them about the blankets and they also said it was only one blanket. Ultimately he wanted me to rent roller beds ( more money for him) just to get an extra blanket. Then he began to tell me about what the current rate was versus what I got it for on the internet. So he made me feel he was trying to get the difference of my internet rate from the blankets. I know i am not the only one that has had these type of experiences. Plus they were trying to renovate and the entire building had such a strong paint smell. At the end of the day,.....he lost lots of money from my family reunion guests all over a blanket......please rate this hotel for what it is. They just recently turned this hotel into the Quality Inn 5 months ago they say......and they are giving the Quality Inn chain a bad name......

Simple little hotel devoid of luxurious features. Typical for something at an interstate exit. The rooms were clean and the staff was courteous. There isn't much nearby in terms of activities asides from an outlet mall. The nearby restaurants are all chains so there's no chance to eat any local cuisine. All in all, for a one night pit-stop, this hotel fills the bill.
