The Plaza Ocean Club Resort, Daytona Beach

I have never been more disappointed in a hotel!! First day we have arrived there after traveling all night we couldn't even get any sleep. There was bunch of college kids drinking and partying in the hallways yelling and being very loud till like 3am or even later. I went to get up that night to go to the bathroom to step on a soak carpet had no idea what was going on till maintenance busted into to my room at 330am saying that the kids that were parting in the hallway busted a water pipe next door. They were trying to move them into our room saying that front desk made a mistake and they thought that there was no one in our room. At that point they wanted to shop vac my floors, let me remind you that this is all going on at like 4am. When we went down to the front desk the following morning and tried to complain. The Lady told us that it’s the beginning of spring break and bike week and there is not much they can do, and told me that next time to pick a different month of the year. They never ended up cleaning my wet floors, the front desk kept on telling me they would send someone up. They did have heaters in the hallways and I heard them cleaning the room next door. So basically I had to wear shoes the whole time because the floor around my bed was wet. I stayed there for 5 days and after couple days it smelled really bad in my room. On top of it pretty much the whole 11th floor reeked. I have stayed at many hotels through busy events and never had such a bad experience. The parking is a rip of, it’s across the street little down the road and they want to charge you $5 a day. They only have 2 elevators and there wicked slow. I just can't stand that they kept on trying to justify everything by the events that were going on. Unless you are a college student and don't care if it’s loud all night right out side your room door this is not the place for you. The strip itself is very nice and I did talk to other people and there is definitely hotels there that are nice and clean and peaceful at night. Worst hotel Experience!!!

Awful hotel...staff has a nasty attitude, rooms are not clean at all, pigeon poop all over balconies and the balconies look like they havent been cleaned in months..very unsanitary!! RED ANTS all over the place even in the restaurant!! While we were there, charged us to park our vehicles a mile away at a church and hasd the nberve to charge us 35.00!! Biketoberfest is an annual event, they didnt even take the time to make sure the parking was taken care of. Someone also called our room at 6am and there was a recording!!! Really???? We will NEVER stay here again nevermind recommend anyone else to stay here! Very disappointing especially for the cost of the room.

worst hotel we stayed at. We booked it for 3 days and left a day early. The check in was at 4pm we didn't get our room till 5:30pm one of the sheets on the bed had a hole plus they were dirty. The next day we woke up found one roach on the ceiling and two in the bathroom. The service was horrible. Plus the elevators weren't working very well. Never going to this hotel again. Won't recommend it to anyone.

I just stayed at the Ocean Plaza Beach Resort for the first time but it won’t be my last. I stayed there with some friends from Atlanta. We wanted a quiet place to get away to for a long weekend. Tybee Island and the Ocean Plaza was just perfect. It was a laid back place and the whole island has a slow pace. We rode bikes around town. We walked on the beach. We drove in to Savannah to shop and then came back to the peace and quiet of Tybee. The hotel is older but renovated and clean. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful in giving us directions. My friends and I agreed at the end of the weekend that we’re going to do Tybee and the Ocean Plaza again in 2011!

Elevators Way To Slow, Older Than Dirt and No Ventilation. Ice Makers on Every Floor Broken! Shower drain slow to empty. Never enough bath towels. Rate Too High for this place.

We checked in and it was all fine til they told us that we had to pay 5dollars a day for parking and that dont even guarntee you a parking spot on their lot you might have to park across the street in a abanded dark lot. Second dont be loud or you will have to pay a extra $100 deposit that they wont show that you paid when you check out. The Two elevators are so slow. STAFF REALLY NEEDS TRAINGING ON CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY ARE VERY RUDE AND ONLY TRY TO CHARGE YOU WHATEVER THEY CAN. I WILL NOT BE BACK AND I SUGGEST YOU BOOK AT A DIFFERENT HOTEL. ALSO TOLIETS FLOOD AND SHOWER DRAIN DOESNT DRAIN THE WATER IS HALF WAY UP YOUR LEG YUCK

ALl the doors show signs of broken in; the service is terrible; they say they lock the back entrance at 7pm, well it's still open pass midnight with nobody checkin who's getting in and out of the hotel. Don't go there, they won't refund you if you're not satisfied; and if you go, make sure you bring your valuables constantly with you, no matter where you go! or youll get robbed. And the staff, I prefer not say anything about these teens that are all, but competent..

I have stayed at this Hotel for 4 years now, its perfectly located, has great staff, its clean, they do a nice breakfast, and the bars friendly....Hell what more do you need! Cant wait to go back in Feb

Serious Issues with This Hotel *When making the reservation "with" the hotel told I was told the pool was heated. When confronting them about a very "cold" unheated pool they told me they did heat it. When we arrived on Saturday it was a beautiful day, the pool had some very unhappy people sitting around it and "NOBody" was in the pool while I was there. *The furnuriture, carpet and furniture was in terrible condition. First the furniture in room 607 was missing 5 drawer knobs, looked like it came from manufactured housing in the 70's. The carpet was old, warn, and tearing away from the edges. The furniture in the hallway and room was worn so much the fabric was torn, faded, and very old. The bed sheets were so worn they had a corse feel to them where your body lay. *The smell was very musty and the hotel was almost vacant on Monday so they seemed to turn off the air in the hallway and the smell got much worse. *The elevators did not work properly. I paid for 2 nights but could only tolerate one night on the very hard, board like bed. The beach view was nice but with all the other issue, worn off and chiping paint all over, I felt like I was in a haunted hotel that should be either closed or completly renavatied. * Don't expect any to ask you how your stay was. **ALSO**Beware of the hounds down the street that try to grab you to buy a timeshare.

The Staff were incredibly nice. me and a bunch of friends went down for spring break. Everything about the hotel was great. the rooms were clean and the view from the balcony was unforgetable. the location was great too. its right in the middle of the strip and close to tons of clubs and bars even next to the mall and movie theatre. I loved my stay there and i will most definitely be returning.
