Nice but not great
By ,
Nice property, friendly staff. B-Line Diner was good and fairly priced. No coffee maker in the room. A big hassle to get dressed, go down stairs and get a cup of coffee early in the morning. Room service would have cost around $20 bucks. The lack of an amenity that I really needed was a big issue. Also mini-bar was empty and required an expensive order to get filled. I would have gladly given up the in bathroom T.V. for a coffee maker. Lots of others complain about the same thing. Hotel was O.K. but overpriced. Never saw any ducks.

This is a Fantastic hotel
By ,
We stayed at this hotel for the weekend with friends. I absolutely loved it. The staff was very helpful from check in to check out. I can't say enough about how beautiful this hotel is. It is breath taking. We got the biggest kick out of there being a TV in our bathroom mirror. The rooms are fantastic and the beds are so comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and if we are ever in Orlando again. This will be where we stay for sure!

Not impressed
By ,
The quality of the hotel itself was nice, but, my friends purse was stolen in the lobby of the hotel, and the staff did not seem concerned whatsoever. Also, they put an accidentals charge on my credit card without telling me the amount (which was $70 per night), AND a separate $26 that nobody told me about. They released the hold 2 days after my check out -- not amusing. Plus, you have to PAY to park in the hotel you pay for -- ridiculous. It's $12 a night to self park, and the parking is a good block away. I wouldn't stay there again.

Couldn't pay me to go back.
By ,
My boyfriend and I stayed there at the beginning of the month. The hotel was ok. Higher star rating than was deserved. They charged fees that we were not told about until we arrived at the hotel. Between what seemed to be mandatory valet at $20.00 per night, as the parking garage was too far away to walk to and through a construction zone, and the resort fee for two bottles of water and internet access that we didn't even use at another $10.00 per night, our bill went up an unexpected $30.00 per night. The valet WRECKED MY CAR! We didn't notice the damage until we had already left the hotel. We immediately returned to the hotel. The person who told me they were the valet manager proceeded to blame me for the damage and deny it was their fault. The hotel security came out and took statements from my boyfriend and I and sent a claim to their insurance company. The adjuster did come and take pictures and gave me a estimate of $618.00 to fix my car within two days. Needless to say.... two weeks later I get a letter in the mail that says they "do not feel our insured can be held legally liable or negligent for your damages as a result of this incident." In other words.... you can't prove we did it so we're not going to fix it. Like my title said... you couldn't pay us to stay here again!! After paying an extra $648.00 after fixing my car this hotel was totally worthless!

look before you leap

i booked an All-inclusive reseravtion here and end up getting nothing but the room. I ended up paying a extra $100.00 at check out time. No meals was included or attractions passes that was advertised. The hotel was very large and clean but over priced.

Very Nice Hotel
By ,
I recently stayed at the Peabody for a convention I was attending. The hotel was very nice, and the front desk staff were excellent. The location of the hotel worked out well as it is right across the street from the convention center, and all of the Orlando attractions are within a 15 minute driving distance. The shopping centre is a 10 minute walk up the street and has some excellent restaurants and bars such as BB Kings and Tommy Bahamas. Don't miss the dueling pianos at Howlin At The Moon bar. Overall, the rooms were clean, and well maintained. The housekeeping staff were excellent and very friendly, and the march of the Peabody Ducks is fun to watch if you're around at the time. Now the bad news, there is no self parking available, so you are forced to use valet parking at $20 per night, something I wouldn't have expected given the premium price charged by this hotel. They are building a new parking garage, but that isn't going to be completed any time soon. I would also say that the nightly rate for this hotel is quite high, given the the fact that there are any number of world class hotels available in Orlando for much less.

AWESOME
By ,
This is simpple awesome, one of the best hotels that i have ever seen in my whole life, the front desk service was pretty good, the valet service retrieved my car pretty quick when i wanted to go out, even though one time my car was brought a little bit dirty in the inside, they pronptly cleaned that up and their speech was simply awesome, the rooms are not that big, yes i have to agree but, the restaurants simply maje it up. I m also really impressed with the ducks the form a line to go to the fountain in the main lobby,,, im just amazed.

One of the Best!!
By ,
I absolutely loved this hotel!! It was definitely one of the best that i have ever stayed at! I stayed with a couple of my closest friends, and let me tell you that even though it was a bit pricey, it was worth every penny! The pool was just wonderful, the food was excellent, and the room was to die for! Their service is amazing because they make you feel very important and comfertable! It is also quite funny that i stayed in this hotel because i actually live here in Orlando. I almost regretted staying because i didn't want to go back home! :)

We were very disappointed
For the fanfare and price - we expected a luxury room and above average hotel amenities. What we found instead was a mediocre room (along the lines of a Holiday Inn or a Travel Lodge) and that we were nickel and dimed for any amenity that was offered. To start with – they eliminated the (free) self-park parking lot and now offer ‘only’ valet parking and charge $18.00 per day. They charge a $10.00 per day ‘Hotel Service Fee’ which is supposed to cover 2 bottles of water per day, trolley tickets and complementary coffee (tea is not included) in the morning. What they do not tell you is that you have to ask for the water and trolley tickets each day and the coffee is only available until 7:00 AM. If you should sleep until 7:00 AM and want coffee or tea when you wake up you’ll have to purchase it from the B-line Diner in the hotel for $3.20 (10 oz cup) as there is no coffee pot in the room. Believe me when I say that their coffee is no Starbucks albeit twice the price. Our next shock was the exercise room. After paying $300 a night (factoring in room, parking, hotel service fee, taxes, etc.) we were appalled to find that they wanted an additional $10.00 (plus tax) per person per day to use the exercise equipment. It seemed that every time we wanted to do something at the hotel – there was an extra fee. We truly expected someone to approach us at the pool to see how many towels we were using so that they could charge the appropriate towel rent (the use of the towels were included) On a positive note, the common areas (lobby, pool, grounds, etc) were clean and well kept. The employees were polite and the restaurants were nice. We had an excellent dinner at Dux
