Nice but expensive
I and my hubby went on vacation between may26 and june2.The hotel itself was very nice, orchids and marble everywhere, cute accent was that they had a"duck march",every day from 11am to 5pm the hotel had real ducks swimming in the fountain.Hotel rooms were very clean, nice clean bathrooms and you get a cute duck shaped soap too,the sheets were changed every morning and the staff was really pleasant and polite. We didnt get a chance to try the high end restaurants located in the hotel,we only had a chance to try the one called the B-line,it was ok kinda like a 60's diner, the staff was treating us poorly becouse we would only order desert so i guess they didnt think they would get a big enough tip,the deserts though were really really good, you should try "better than chocolate" cake and cookies'n'cream ice cream, very deliciuos. The hotel had an almost olympic size pool, kiddie pool, cabanas,an outdoor bar and some souvenir shops. We liked the bar called "Mallards" i believe its called, its located close to the duck fountain right in the middle of the hotel.I dont have any complaints about our check in or check out,we checked in got our room keys and were on our way.If you do get your room on a higher floor, you will get a very nice view of the surrounding buildings,or the pool.
The overall experience was pretty good,i think the rooms are a bit overpriced. The $10 per nigh fee was a big surprise, nobody told us about it,they charge you for internet,no matter if you brought your laptop with you or not,2 bottles of water and a newspaper and no,you cant choose either you want those things or not the fee still applies. We were tired and didnt feel like arguing so we paid, but we think its kindof ridiculous to be charged extra for that,i suppose they could just add the fee to the overall room price, but not just surprise you like that. Be prepared to pay the fee.So overall the hotel was nice and our vacation went smoothly.Good luck with yours:)
