Hotel Indigo St Petersburg Dwn, St Petersburg

The rooms are old and cheaply decorated. The whole hotel smells like mold. My bathroom was dirty and had old toothpaste stain on the vanity, and LOTS of soap scum on the shower floor. I mean it was caked on there! The night staff is rude and does not care for the guests, especially the manager Linda. This hotel is run by a bunch of amateurs. Maybe the dirty hippies like this place because it is old and tacky, but professionals will find it simply gross.

I didn't stay long enough to really have anything derogatory to say about the staff, we left after being there for barely 2 hours. I got what I thought was a great rate on a room for a 3 1/2 star rated hotel from Hotwire.com...the Hotel is lucky if it would legitimately pull a 2 star rating. The hotel overall is old, with inadequate parking, its rundown, with painted over old fixtures and old wooden doors on the rooms that have been outfitted with electronic card key locks...the doors weren't very sturdy at all. The rooms have been outfitted with air conditioners, and ceiling fans, but the rooms are dingy, small, the bathrooms VERY SMALL, just enough room for one person at a time, the shower had fresh mold in it and mold staining on the floor of the shower. The onsite Bistro, was essentially a small bar, and several tables and chairs placed throughout the Lobby...TACKY The elevator did work, but is somewhat harsh in its movement, especially while landing on the bottom floor...you had to push the buttons hard and wiggle them at the same time to get them to register enough to call the elevator to the corresponding floor. (I can see someone getting stuck in this in the near future) The pool area was astoundingly ATROCIOUS with debris and broken pool toys strewn about in and out of the pool, the Jacuzzi/Hot Tub was full of leaves and debris, obviously not being kept up, was told later by the front desk that it was out of order, that the pump had gone out, and was on order...it should have been marked with a sign stating it was out of order, and roped off, so patrons wouldn't be getting into contaminated water. (Hello...where's the staff for maintenance and upkeep) The Business center...that's a laugh...2 old computers running Windows XP...connected via something as slow as Dial-up...CAN YOU SAY VERY SLOW...Over all this is not what I would consider an up to date Hotel worthy of competing with other hotels in the area with the same 3+ star rating, and certainly not worth the going rate of $130+ per night for a room that is SUBSTANDARD!! As of this moment I'm out the $325 I paid for staying here, my better half and I are without a place to stay outside of friends, unless I pay out more money to another Hotel for lodging. (Watch out for HOTWIRE not being willing to take care of the Customer and either refund the money, or change reservations to another Hotel...I wont be using Hotwire ever again!!) RUN AWAY....DON'T STAY!!!

Staff was great! Rooms were great! The whole experience was amazing. Great location:) Very quiet!

Very nice hotel with an excellent location but the staff working the front desk never made us feel welcome or asked if we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is walking distance to good museums and nice restaurants. The price we paid was very reasonable. The gym is small but the equipment is new and excellent. The lobby and bar area is very nicely decorated like the rest of the hotel. This hotel is in serious need of a staff change to truly feel like a charming boutique hotel.

I got bedbugs in this hotel. I would advise staying anywhere else. I write this as I am paying to have my house fumigated...

This is not my idea of a hotel. This is too old and run down to call it one of St.Pete's finest hotels. I am used to better quality hotels

Very nice and clean hotel. Located within walking distance to all of the area attractions. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. I will stay at this hotel the next time I return to St Pete.

The room was booked by a business associate and therefore I had no choice but to stay here. The room was dirty, had not been dusted in some time. The beds were uncomfortable. The non smoking facility smelled of smoke through out. The rooms were small and cramped. The amenites indicated a refrigerator and there was not one in the room. There was limited parking and it was not convenient to the rooms.

While this facility enjoys a nice Downtown location, amenities(as well as staff priorities)are definately short sided. What a disaster! Check-in on 6/5/06, my family found this experience deplorable. No Parking!?, Parking(Valet "for private party ONLY) Restaurant and Lounge closed for "a private party". How do you tell the kids? Sorry we can't use the pool- "its closed(and unused)due to a "private party". While unable to enjoy these amenities, we were expected to overlook the noise and activity. Non-Smoking room and entire second floor smelled(actually stunk)of cigarette smoke. Doors in room didn't shut/or lock properly, cheap double beds were long overdue for replacement. Once inside the room, it actually reminded me of those cheap unmaintained beachfront rooms you pay $125 to be on the sand. We checked out at 11:00pm and found another competitors room for half the price within blocks.
