WOW vacation
By KYBunny, 7/15/09
Great location-right on the beach, pools, service and rooms. But the food prices will bankrupt you-breakfast for four (2 orders of pancakes with bacon and 2 orders of eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast) = approx. $113 or about $25 at a regular restaurant so eat out not in and all else was great.

Great Service
By md, 8/13/08
Just returned from a 5 day 4 night stay at Don Cesar with husband and 8yr old daughter. It is an older resort, but the updates are very nice. My daughter enjoyed the pools, the beach was nice, service was great. The rooms are a bit small, but that's not a big deal if you spend most of your time out of the room as we did. We had a double with a partial bayview. We didn't eat at the resort because we were out most of the time. Ee spent a couple of days in Tampa at Busch Gardens, enjoyed that! What really impressed me about the Don was that I left my ipod in the room, by the time I realized it I was at the airport. I called back to the hotel a couple of times to try and track it down while housekeeping was still cleaning(not really thinking I'd get it back). But thanks to Carol, one of the operators and several other people I don't know the names of, it was sent back to me via UPS.

Travel Dan Man Lowes Don Cesar Resort
By Travel Dan Man, 4/29/08
Rooms: I was in a smaller regular room with a view of the parking lot, yet they have luxrious beds and a sweet flat screen TV and new free wireless everywhere. So No complaints there. The bathrooms are small but remodeled and nice. Location: Yeah right on the beach with two pools, not complaints there either. Sweet spot to be parked at for a week. Food: Lots of options here. I never was able to go to their nicest resturant but enjoyed the Sea Porch Cafe and the out door bar that serves food too. Overall: I would say that this is a place for weddings and kids, mostly cause thats what I say the most of there. But Lowes does a great job with what they are given here. Book in advance cause they are sold out frequently.

READ THIS BEFORE CONSIDERING
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/24/08
PROS: -nice staff -very pretty -clean CONS: -pool area is ALWAYS crowded. sometimes you cant even find a seat to get situated. -they took another tip, saying that we didnt give them one yet. made us VERY disapointed. the beaches were disgusting, seaweed EVERYWHERE. couldn't enjoy the beach. - When we called for room service, it came 45 minutes late. - the regular room, not the suite was very small, no space. -------------------------------------------- This resort seemed beautiful when we approached it, and it truly is remarkable. BUT: the service, location, and rooms have SEVERE problems. the service never responds fast the location is rite off a busy strip the rooms need updates, and MORE space. after 3 days at this resort we checked out. we went to sarasota instead and stayed at the ritz carlton. it was a much better choice and stay. - thanks, hope you made your mind about the old don cesar. OH AND THE BEDS ARE SOOOO UNCOMFTORABLE.

The Don CeSar; It makes st petes beach!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/1/07
The Don CeSar was the highlight of my summer. when i got there the service was so nice and helpfull. they guided us to our rooms so we didnt have to search for it. they told us to just call to get extra pillows, another blowdryer, a curling iron, and many more lovely things with no cost! also the pool staff were very friendly. there was water arobics every morning. i loved it. also a workout room that has 24 hour service! it was the most remarkable resort ive stayed at. also the pool was open for 24 hours. I met families from all differnt countries. People from spain, england and italy chose to come to the Don CeSar! The shopping mall on the lower levle was so cute and nice! i loved it. The Don CeSar brought me close to another family i met down at the pool. and i miss them so dearly. so next time you decide to go to florida, think the Don CeSar, the most luxorious resort on the coast.

What a Vacation! What a Beautiful Resort!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/26/07
the Don CeSar Beach Resor offers family vacations, group events, as well as spa and wedding services & many others that I love! Known as Florida's Pink Palace since the sugar-white beach, dining, rejuvenating Beach Club & Spa, fishing, children's programs , nearby tennis and golf facilities! I loved everything thay i could do! I had something different to do every single day! From beach yoga, volleyball, two pools, Camp CeSar for the kids, eight shops, and an ice cream parlor to local attractions such as museums, theme parks, fishing and golf - there's something for everyone to stay busy during their Don CeSar vacation.

Don CeSar Beach Resort; The Highlight of my Summer!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/25/07
When you first arrive to the Don CeSar, also known as the Pink Palace, you see a beautiful structure. The building looks like a piece of art. When you got into the hotel, everybody greeted you with joy and with a smile on their face. I knew this was going to be an excellent trip from the beggining. The Service Was always ready to serve! It was amazing. The rooms were nice and comftorable. The lobby made me feel so welcome every morning. After my first night, i was charged for a "Resort Fee". I asked to the Manager of the Hotel, What is the resort fee for? He Kindly Excplained to me THat it was for the works & activiited the resort has, every resort has one according to my reasearch. Its for having so many things to do at the resort, kind of like a tax. My stay at the Don CeSar was without at doubt absouloutly amazing! im Deffinatly going back there again! Im going on the 29th of july 2007! I just couldnt wait! Me & My family had a BLAST! You will be sorry if you dont go :]

Somebody is lying and it aint me!
By ChristopherH, 7/15/06
Greetings, on July 9,2006 my family and I had reservations at the Don Cesar Luxury Beach Suites. The place was suspect from the start. I was told where to park by a very unprofessional parking attendant. He was all sweaty and was really rough in his demeanor like he really hated his job. Then, we got into the elevator which had a musty smell to it and felt as if it would break down at any moment. It also had a weird rumbling noise to it, and I had to speak very loudly for my wife to hear me even though she was 2 feet away from me. When we got to the room it was dank and very small and contained a bunch of old wicker furniture. It had a kitchennette that looked as if it were from the 1980's. The hotel had heavy coats of paint on the room doors that the rust was showing through. Needless to say, this was not the luxury suite we were expecting to see. I dont know about the main hotel inside, but the beach suites looked like an old beach motel built in the 50's that had some paint slapped onto it, and some old wicker furniture from the lobby of the local retirement home. People throw out better furniture for Friday morning trash pickup. I called another hotel after being in the room about 5 min. I called the Ritz-Carlton in Naples and got an Executive Suite for about $10 more per night. They wanted to charge about $318 a night to stay at this dump. Apparently some people have money to burn, but not this family. We drove about another hour or so south and stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Naples Golf Resort, and had complete access to the RC Naples Beach Resort. They even had a shuttle that ran between the 2 resorts. I drove about 3 miles to the beach resort and my whole family had a great time at the beach and in the surrounding area. There was plenty of relaxation to be had once the Don Cesar was in our rear-view mirror. All-in-all, skip the Don Cesar and go elsewhere. TIP: If you happen to be going to the east coast of Florida, The Club at Hammock Beach in Palm Coast is the place to stay. The Ritz is nice, but this place puts it to shame as far as amenities are concerned, and the prices are pretty close. The service is better too. The rooms are nicer and you dont have to tip anyone there. It's included in the price as a resort fee. Check it out especially when they have a concert or event for the homeowners there. I saw Cheryl Crowe in concert on the event lawn, not to mention the fireworks show afterwards. This place was worth the money spent. Good Luck and travel safely.
