Shoreline Island Resort Motel, Madeira Beach

I stayed in this hotel for three nights on my honeymoon and couldn't be more happy with my stay. the staff was very friendly and the room was clean, what more can you ask for? the beach was clean and there were umbrellas/cabanas for rent just as you walked on the beach. all the guest i met were also enjoying thier stay as much as i was. this is a perfect spot for couples to come and enjoy paridise.

Madeira Beach Florida Code enforcement says they have no control over the Cabanas. The cabana company have leased access from Shore line to the beach. Madeira Beach Florida does own the beach but Shoreline has the right to access and also leasing said access to other parties. Other parties can operate under Shorelines business umbrella. So if Shoreline really wanted the Cabanas gone asked the company to leave or if they were not invited or leased too. Call Code enforcement and the Ten Cabanas will be tag and removed.. Enough of that. On the down side. The cabanas did draw lots of families from the condos on both side of Shore line. The children both english and hispanic were very noisy and played daily with plenty of zeal. Not as peaceful or pleasant as in the past years from the noises. Beach is also dirty and trash accumulates around the Cabana. Madeira Beach is not able to clean around or under the Cabana as they are considered part of or under control of Shoreline. Bottom line. Noisy with children, blocked views of beach, lots of trash and empty bottles around cabanas

Adrain forgot to mention that he had 42 people in the hotel room. The Police handled this is a very professional manner. I thank the group for thinking of Shoreline but 42 people in one hotel room!

On March 24, 2012 myself and several business owners all over the age of 21 checked into a 2 bedroom apartment on the 4th floor of the Shoreline Island Resort at 4:32pm. A couple of people and I were sitting on the back patio no longer than 30 min after we checked in, not knowing that anything was wrong, at approximately 4:55pm we were approached by several large and oppinionated pinellas county sheriff officers who where let into the room by resort manager Mike Heslop who was very rude and irate yelling that there was only supposed to be 2 people in this 2 bedroom apartment. The officers stated "put ur drinks down dont give me any problems and leave the premesis"! So i dont know why we were kicked out. Not saying it was a racial thing but we all were non white and did not get any prior warning of any issue or the opportunity to resolve the issue at hand before we were made to throw away over $150 worth of food and drinks as it was on the stove being prepared by a chef we hired for this nite. All tho I was told I would be given a full refund that does not justify the actions of resort manager Mike Heslop or repair this turn of events.

This was not our first visit to this part of Florida, but it was our first stay at the Shoreline. Our room was a Gulf Front efficiency with balcony. Fifth floor. We could not have asked for a cleaner, more comfortable room, with views of the Gulf that were terrific. As soon as we checked in we took a walk on the beach...the water was crystal clear, and must have been at least in the low to mid-eighties. The next morning we fixed breakfast in our room, headed down to the pool for a swim, read the paper, and then we headed to John's Pass, easily within walking distance, and rented a wave-runner. Loads of fun. More relaxing back at the Motel, some swimming in the Gulf, dinner, and capped it off with a long walk along the beach watching the sun set. Our flight out was early, so we sadly had to head out at 630AM on Sunday. Did I mention that this turned out to be quite a romantic weekend? The Shoreline is a gem. Other reviews we read before making our reservation suggested that the Shoreline is worn around the edges. That wear is gentle, and charming. The big bonus for us was that it is ADULTS ONLY! Don't get us wrong, kids are fine, but the absence of the little ones, especially in the pool/lounge area, was much appreciated. Peaceful, and quiet wins the day when you want to get away to relax. The staff on duty were super friendly, and very helpful. Parking can be tight, but more than adequate. We will definitely book reservations here again the next time we are in the area.

Clean, quiet, up-to-date, on beach. Close to tourist attractions. Best value.

We have stayed here a few times over the years. It used to be friendly like family atmosphere. Not anymore. the rooms are under construction we peeked in they were painting over mold on the walls. You can smell the mold throughout the rooms and pool deck. The maintenence manager was very rude as I had a few issues with my room and she was annoyed we had the nerve to ask for issues to be fixed. The maintenence lady and manager seemed more interested in standing outside smoking cigarettes everytime we went near the office. The grounds are unkept and with the noise and music from the renovators you can not relax. The front desk and housekeeping staff were very friendly. When we were checking out the manager was argueing with a guest very loudly in the front lobby exchanging profanity. Very unprofessional, We couldve stayed home and saved alot of money and got the same uncomfortable rude atitiudes we went on vacation to escape. Our trip was ruined.

the room was very clean and the housekeeping staff in building 5 was very helpful to and our needs. also the pool area is lovely and relaxing. i can't wait until next year.

Like the all adult atmosphere. Have been going there for 15 years, for 2 wks. It is nice not to be bothered by kids playing in the pool. Quiet and relaxing. New management the last few years is not willing to meet the needs of the guests. Pool was too cold and was supposed to be heated. No warm water coming out of the jets. Only turned it on when we asked to speak to the owner. Wall paper peeling off the wall in our bedroom. Toilet barely flushed. Motel has some rooms that are being remodeled. Manager was rude. We tried to make a reservation for next year but were told we could not come back because we complained. They did not want other vacationers to know about our problems. Love the location and the physical layout. It was ideal for a handicapped person in our party. It is a shame that when you voice dissatisfaction with something you are told not to return.

NO FRILLS, NO PRETENSES, AND NO KIDS. JUST A NICE, WELL MAINTAINED ALL ADULT PLACE ON THE GULF. WE'VE GONE THERE EVERY WINTER FOR THE PAST 12 YEARS. IF YOU HAVE YOUNG KIDS OR ARE LOOKING FOR NIGHTLIFE, IT'S NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. BUT IF YOU WANT A PLACE TO RELAX, WITHOUT SOMEONE ELSE'S KIDS SCREAMING AND JUMPING INTO THE POOL NEXT TO YOU, IT'S PERFECT
