Stuart Inn Rude Front Desk Staff

In the past we have stayed at the Stuart Inn when it was a Howard Johnson and enjoyed our stay. However, I have never been treated so rudely as the person who took our reservation. After she informed me that they did not take Discover Card and I gave her my Visa Card #, she immediately charged it to my account right there and then. I just wanted to guarantee the room until check in. We checked in the next day...gave our name, and was told that I needed my ID in order to check in. He was very rude and had a superior attitude. When I asked him what the rate was, he answered with a question "what did she quote you?" Rude, rude...Okay...we're over 60...and we do not look or act like criminals. But they certainly treated us like we were a high risk couple...NEVER have I been treated like this EVER and NEVER will we stay there again. I felt like we didn't have a choice but to stay there, since they had already charged us for the room. The only plus to the place, is the restaurant next door.
