Sheraton Suites Tampa Airport Westshore, Tampa

They no longer have pay per view movies. They took out the carpeting in the front area of the suite and replaced it with hardwood flooring. It is not as homey as it used to feel. The bathroom was tight and cramped. We were put in room 711 which was right along the road. You could hear cars going by the highway all night. The front desk person Brent was very helpful. He gave us two passes for a breakfust buffet which saved us 25.00 the next morning. The beds are very comfortable. The hotel was very full and it was very difficult to find a parking space. Just seems after the renovation that the room is a lot smaller . These huge foyer tables they have in the living room and in the bedroom take up a lot of room.

Likes: Great lobby and atrium well appointed with natural beauty Large suites, large bathroom, 2 extra sinks Large indoor pool, hot tub right beside it, convenient bathrooms in the pool area, and the exercise room had a great variety of equipments - all up to date Very reasonably priced Dislikes: Musty smell of the room (suggestion: must check for molds regularly as they are on the walls and on the bed skirt of one of the beds in room 311). We had to crank up the air conditioner to counteract humidity! Hi-speed internet was in fact LOW SPEED! The signal was constantly dropped off. We did not know anything about the free use of computer/printer in the lobby Was breakfast buffet provided? We did not know about it either. Front desk person was friendly but he did not provide any information about the hotel amenities. We were not allowed to use the towels outside of the suites nor outside of the pool area - very easy to catch cold this way - I did! The carpet was also growing mold as my kids' white socks turned black - carpet needs a thorough shampoo or change it all together. Please address the mold issue as it is a health hazard. Otherwise, your hotel is recommendable and would come back again.

Not sure what "newly renovated" means to whoever wrote the summary but this place is in need of a total makeover. Everything is worn and need of a good cleaning and/or replacement.

This is, without a doubt, the best hotel that I have ever stayed at. I can't believe it has only been given a 3-star rating, because it should at least be considered a 4-star, maybe even a 5-star! The rooms are ultra-luxurious, and the beds were the most comfortable that I've ever experienced in my life. There are two rooms; a living/family room with a sleeper sofa, a recliner, a TV with deluxe digital cable and a DVD player, a microwave, a refrigerator, deluxe coffeemaker, a desk and chair with a lamp and a telephone, as well as a portal for cable-modem internet access. The bedroom has two very large beds, which, as I mentioned earlier, are extremely comfortable, also, a TV, again, with deluxe digital cable and a DVD player, and a table and some chairs next to another internet access point, and also a phone. There is an in-room safe, a closet with an ironing board and hair-dryer, and the bathroom has a shower/tub which is of high quality, and the personal care products the staff leaves for you are great as well. There are also two sinks. There's are great view from just about any room, whether through the outside sliding door window, or the outside balcony, the inside hallway windows, or out in the hallway itself. There's a tropical garden inside, in the courtyard, and a great restaurant also in the courtyard, with great food (especially for breakfast). There is also a "convenience store", as you might call it, but it's got a lot more than just the basics. It has top-quality souvenirs, great t-shirts, and the selection of food items and snacks of any store of a comparable size that I know of. The hotel has a heated indoor pool, which was just great! It also has a top-of-the-line exercise room, with the best equipment available. The hotel also offered free taxi service to any point within a 10-mile radius of the hotel itself. There was a "media room", in which there are about a dozen computers hooked up to the internet by cable modem and color laser printers, and also a color scanner/copier/fax/printer/phone, all of which are freely available for guest use at any time. All in all, it was a magnificent experience throughout our stay, and I would be more than happy to pay twice what I did to stay in that hotel again.

When I checked in the hotel on Friday, I got there 5 hours early. However the staff was well prepared and greeted me with the best of service. The room was very clean and EVERYthing was really really nice. The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was the security phone call method and it cost you $1.14 for every outgoing call. (this means local calls) The roomservice was very very nice but expensive. Be well prepared to pay alot if you are planning on eating at this hotel. The swimming pool was indoor and it was really nice. I was over impressed. The jacuzzi was clean and nice. I would go back if given the chance.

The staff and the service were completely disinterested and unacceptable for the price we paid. We couldn't get a light bulb replaced for 3 hours, or pool towels for our children to dry off before walking through the lobby. This is the worst place we ahve stayed at.

i loved everything about this place. Everything that i ordered i recieved in a timely fashion.from the the time i checked in and from the time i checked out i recieved but a nothing but a big smile. this place is a must stayer!!!!!

Gave this hotel another try. The last time we stayed it was nasty. We had an incident during our stay in March 2005 so they gave us 2 free nights. We weren't going to use them but thought we would try again. What a difference. The rooms still had a weird but not bad smell when yu entered but they were cleaner and nicer than before. The staff was more pleasant also. This stay was what you expect from a Sheraton. Will stay here again.

Beautiful and large hotel lobby. The suites were enormous, very nicely decorated, and very clean. Great for a family visiting Busch Gardens. With a car, the hotel's location, which is right off of I295, is very convienient to anywhere in Tampa. We would certainly stay again.
