Motel 6 Pensacola East, Pensacola

This hotel almost ruinned my Labor Day Holiday weekend (2009)! Check in was fairly smooth. We got our room keys and went to put our bags and the first thing I noticed was the smell. It smelled like cigarette smoke and wet clothes. We were given another room and it was a little better than the first. We were only planning to sleep and shower so we figured we could deal with it. We had a late night and when we returned to our room, our keycards would not work. It was about 2 a.m. and we were told that we had to wait on someone on staff that was not on duty to bring the master keycard so we could get in our rooms. After waiting about 30 minutes, the lady in the office used an emergency key and let us in the room after re-assigning new room keys for both rooms. The next morning we left for breakfast and when we returned the new keycards did not work either. The guy in the office told us that our keyreader would have to be re-programmed, but the guy with the codes was out of town. So we were locked out of our rooms with all of our belongings inside. The guy in the office offered to move us to another room which was not solving the problem of how we were going to get our property out of the room. With the grace of God, we were able to re-gain access to our room (after disabling the key box). There was a strange looking guy walking to parking lot and knocking on doors trying to sell $5 pizzas! The pool was green! Filthy! Upon checkout we expressed our concerns (which they were already aware of) and the front desk worker called the hotel manager. He reprimanded her over the phone for using the emergency keycard and told her that we were not entitled to a refund nor a discount. I asked to speak with the manager and the lady at the front desk placed the call on speaker and he told her he didn't want to speak with anyone because he was off duty. When she asked for a contact for him or his manager he told her there was none. I have never stayed anywhere so horrific and I don not reccommend anyone to stay here; not even if it's free!!!
