Metropolitan Express Hotel, Orlando

We never saty at the hotel, but we decide to stay from March 13 @ 23, 2012 due to the opinions of the reviews. We believe is a great place, we ask for handycap room on first floor, no smoking room and no pets allowed room. They said they can comply with those three basic requirements. At final of my stay, we tell you mi opinion, is fare, right?

The front desk was not very helpful that acted that they were trying to be to nice to you. Very disappointed to fine out the hotel had no ELEVATOR to take your bags up to the 2nd floor(the front desk never told you that). The room was clean, the TV was old and was not given many channels to chose from(no listing in the room on what channels you had also). I would only go there again if I had too but I will choose another one. Also, free shuttle you only get one choice of time for the park you want to go to and one time to come home or you have to pay for a taxi.

the management staff is awful, the dont care about their employess, or appreciate anythin good they do to better that cheap dirty hotel, hita shah is the most disgustin individual there and such a b..... she doesnt care about anyone but herself ughh. the chief engineer milton is a cocaine addict caught him twice in his office,, ppl stay away from here they dnt even screen their employeess... trust me i worked there when they first took over so i know, so glad im goneeee, not missing them at allx they will eventually get closed down

Not a good place to spend your well earned holiday. The first floor carpets are disgusting and there is a horrible smell when you walk through the corridoors. My children held their noses walking to our room. The pool needs cleaning and updating. There is nowhere to sit for your 'deluxe' breakfast. The staff are very slow and seem unhappy in their work though not rude. We had two rooms and both the safes were broken, one was fixed the other wasn't. The shuttles are always late, are at strange times and sometimes don't turn up at all. My main complaint with the hotel was finding bedbugs in our bed that had obviously been there for some time. The beds are made daily though certainly not washed so these should have been spotted by anyone pulling the bed slightly away from the wall. After suffering for more than a week with what I didn't know were bedbug bites until my daughters came out with spots too, I complained. We were allocated a different room though left to move late at night with no help and three sleepy children. We had to wash all our belongings to prevent further contamination in the one washing machine that worked in the laundry, which took quite some time. This experience spoiled my much anticipated holiday and badly affected the holiday of my family. The only thing this hotel has going for it is it's location!

i have just read some of the reviews and think they got their hotels mixed up. i have stayed at the metropolitan express on numerous occassions going back to when it was the holiday inn express. `i have always found the staff friendly and helpful the rooms clean and towels no problem . reading some of the reviews they may be talking about the metropolitan resort. i am going back in oct this year and cant wait. see you all soon .yeeeehaaaa.

First of all I made rsvp 6 months in advance the rooms were not ready when my family arrived. Some had to wait and some of us did not. Then the girl at the front desk was smacking gum like a cow. I wanted to smack it out of her mouth. Then I got in the hall way and it smell weird like stale water. I got in my room every thing was ok for the price clean sheets, clean bathroom but I sat on the couch and I smell like pee. What really made me mad and I said I will never come back was when they kept telling me for, four days that they did not have clean wash rags. We had to use the towels to bath I was pissed.

first prob key card would not open the door to let us in the building non smoking hotel w/o balc. have to go down stairs and out to smoke the elevator safty cert. exp. 8/01/08 in one of the elev you can't push 4 or 7 the pool is out of the way hard to find and not heated like shown patio at hot tub falling apart thought I would fall off or thru steps pool bar out of 3 of 5 drinks and closed early the childrens play area is actully part of the YMCA I am now sitting in the floor next to the door because it is the only place i can pick up wi-fi staff very rude and not helpful at all. The only good thing is that the room is clean. only the room and front desk

I looked this hotel up online and I thought it would be a nice place to stay the weekend for my birthday. I mean I am so upset about my stay! I had to call everyday and ask for towels because housekeeping wouldn't leave new ones, the pool was far from heated, it was cold like an icebox and the sun was out.I reserved a one bedroom with one king bed, when I got there after a very long drive I found out that they put me down for two rooms with two beds each. after I had a fight with that girl at the front desk she put me in a handy cap room, with a handy cap bathroom. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, it's a waste of money.And by the way, they charge a 3.50 a day resort fee... where is the resort?

We still liked it. The first few moments, could have done without. Plane lands at 1:30, where else you supposed to go, tried to check in at 2:00. The young woman behind the desk points to the sign that says check-in is at 4:00. So, we went across the street to Benningans til 4, Luggage and all. It is a good hotel. Been recently re-painted. Great location, and I like how they do the breakfast. They have whole room set up with bagels, danish cereal, fruit juices and of course coffee all complimentary. We will stay there again.

We attempted to check-in at 4:30 after a long day of traveling, we were told that check-in would start at 5:00 p.m. Waiting in the Lobby, we saw people checking in at 4:40. Rooms get vacuumed maybe once a week.
