This is not a palace!!!
By ,
This hotel is not a palace, it is just a hotel. Upon arrival we did not receive the suite that had been confirmed a week prior to the trip. After going through two clerks, the manager managed to get us a suite. The suite room(s) were a tad above average. The Outback restaraunt's food and service were outstanding. On the second day of the trip, I noticed that they had charged my card over 1400.00 for varying amounts. After speaking with a hotel rep, she could not substantiate all the charges that I had been billed for. imagine that? We rented a car during the trip and valet demanded payment daily for services. The gentleman working valet however were very nice. The hotel did not have a shuttle to Universal, however I was told that I could walk to Disney. The pool side service was obsolete. After being told that the grill would open after 11:30 A.M. and a server would be sent over to us by poolside, I am home now and still waiting on the server. (Talk about service.) Prior to checkout, a message is left that you should stop by the concierge's desk and get a voucher for three nights for 199. Upon checkout, we stopped at the desk and was told that the person who does that was not working and basically was told there was nothing that she could do for us. We have stayed at the Grand Wailea in Maui which is a five star+ resort and I would put this hotel at a two+ star. If you manage to get a good deal, I guess this hotel would be OK. If you are looking for luxury, I would advise you to look elsewhere.

WORST HOTEL IN ALL OF FLORIDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the very worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my 30 years of traveling. We were locked out of our room and away from all of our cash and possessions for over two hours. We were told that we had not payed for our stay even though the trip had been paid for in advance, and instead of politely telling us that there had been a problem, they sent security to lock us out of our room while we were eating dinner. They insisted that they had called my cell phone numerous times but after further investigation of this claim we discovered that we had been called only once and it had only been a half-hour before. In other words we were lied to numerous times, the entire hotel and rooms were nothing like we saw on the internet (the water view room we were promised included a lovely view of two large mobile storage units) and I would be hard pressed to stay at this lodging again. I have had better stays in two bit dives in the jungles of Mexico. Stay at one of the many nice Disney resorts.... they are attentive, kind, polite and will never threaten to 'kick you out' of your pre-paid lodgings.

We were impressed!
By ,
My girlfriends and I stayed here for a friend's bachelorette party. We were all impressed! The service was courteous and fast. The decor is sleek and modern. The rooms were beautiful. We booked a 1 BR suite which had 1 half bathroom and 1 full bathroom with 2 showers! Perfect for us gals. When we first got there, we had a 1 BR queen suite which did not have the half bath. I called down to the front desk and they sent up a bellboy with keys to transfer all our stuff to the king 1BR suite. He was great. We just crossed the street from out building to get to Downtown Disney to start our bachelorette festivities. My girlfriends and I highly recommend BVP. I can see it being family friendly, but also a great place to stay as a romantic getaway. Just take a leisurely stroll across the street to have an intimate dinner or take in the sights at Downtown Disney. It was perfect and I would go back in a heartbeat.

Staff was stupendous!!!!
By ,
Well the front desk staff is the best I have ever encountered before. I usually travel about 15 times a year and this is by far the best service I have ever received. Front desk staff was helpful, knowledgeable and attentive. They provided great advice to make the trip more pleasant, allowing us to get the most out of our stay at Disney. Came with the intentions of dining at Arthur's per a friend's recommendations however it was regretably closed. Instead we had dinner at the Outback Restaurant, food did not meet our expectations and also it was a bit pricey. Other than that, the staff was helpful and just a call away. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Perfect Hotel!
By ,
This hotel was the best, we went with our 4 kids and we usually stay at luxury resorts, and this was more then that. We will be back next time and don't worry about the extra payments there not what people say they are. Its not $20 for parking, it's like $5 and thats good for a disney hotel. This hotel is on top, we've been to the Animal KIngdom, Wilderness lodge, and this is better then them all!!

Loved the location--close to a lot of activity. Beautiful hotel, great service, not a lot of places to eat unless you go downtown, but overall A++++++.

Be Prepared to Spend!
By ,
This place loves to nickle and dime or should I say 5 and 10 dollar you. Don't use your debit/charge card - they charge you an extra $75 to be put on hold until the end of your stay. The food is marked up 300%. Pay $12 extra fee for the spa, pool towels, 30 minute phone calls and a piece of fruit at the pool and old books to read at the pool. We paid for a disney view of the fireworks which could only be seen closing one eye and leaning way against the glass. Here is their big selling tools - 2 bottles of water in your refrig each day (which we didn't get) and spa robes to use (which weren't in the room). WOW. Oh, don't try and order room service, not only are you paying 300% for the food, you have to pay a 20% gratuity and a 4% delivery fee. Don't bring your little ones, there is very little for them to do. All they offer for TV is 15 channels (1 Showtime) and no channels for the kids. No Nick, No Disney. Unless you wish to pay $11 for a pay per view. The only nice things were: 1) the bed was comfortable and 2) the pillows were nice. If you are going to spend this kind of money, go with a Disney Resort. At least the food is cheaper and the service is better.

I won't Be Back
By ,
I stayed at this hotel for 4 days while attending a conference. The hotel costs are reimbursed by my business. Pros: Across the street from Downtown Disney Cons: Nickel and diming, $12/day "resort" fee Valet parking $15/day (Grand Floridian was $7/day) Free parking, be prepared to walk... Limited guest info in room Concierge seemed like they didn't know much Noisy bathroom fan Toilet flushed corectly most of the time Overall, just not worth your money to be so close to Downtown Disney. Stay at a true Disney property if you can...
