Didn't want to leave!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/09
The Bilmar was a very nice resort. The staff at the hotel and Bazzie's and Sloppy Joe's restaurants were excellent. Housekeeping was excellent. We really enjoyed our 6 nights there. We went parasailing. We asked for a high floor and got the 7 th floor with a balcony. The food there was excellent. Not expensive, large portions and excellent service. They were always cleaning everything. Even the public bathroons were spotless! The beds were very comfortable.I had trouble opening the safe and they sent someone to open it within 5 minutes. The beach is a little wide but still very enjoyable. Also enjoyed the bongo drum fest on the beach on Sunday night, with dancing. Can't wait to go back!!

DRUNK FEST !!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/01/08
MAYBE when I was 21 - for Spring Break....MAYBE! Wow - I was shocked to say the least! I have been a travel agent for many years and had spent hours researching a location for our family vaca this year. After hours on line, reading reviews, viewing travelers photos, etc., I chose this DUMP! Our family of 5, bkd the largest room in the place-two hotel rooms w/seperate exterior doors, joined together inside. We paid more for our 'ocean front' family suite - There was no ocean view as the palm trees below had grown up so high and so full that is all you saw from your sliders, the palm trees! Empty beer bottles on the sun deck with full ashtrays, from the shady pool you can hear the d.j in the beachfront hotel bar and watch the drunks stumble out of there at sunset!! VERY disappointed, NOT the 'family resort' I was lead to believe it was! - - I got up early the next morning and hit the road in search of a new spot to spend our vaca. - - ended up at the Tradewinds Sandpiper - less $$, breakfast included and tons of activities for the kids!!!

A Great Vacation Spot
By Frank&RobertaM, 04/28/08
My wife and I just returned for our vacation at the Bilmar a truely fantastic place. Since this was our first time there, we were not sure what to expect. Within minutes of our arrival we were greeted at the front desk by a friendly happy staff who obviously enjoy their job. Everyone there was equally as friendly to deal with. The room was spotlessly clean and taken care of each day promptly. The view of the beach was fantastic, and we were able to relax on the balcony and enjoy the music from Sloppy Joe's at the end of the day. The food and staff at Sloppy Joe's was also very good which can be also said of the staff at Bazzie's Beach Bar where each staff member trerated and talked to you as if you have been friends for years. We are looking forward to our next vacation which we plan to spend at the Bilmar

The Moose man will come back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/12/08
What more can u ask for. BEAUTIFUL SUNSETS, GREAT FOOD & DRINKS. Plus the night life there and in Ricky "T" Middlegrounds & Gigi's Itialian Restaurant. the staff was most help full. If you are a Karaoke singer u can even bring your own disk, the food at the two Restaurants was great and the value was perfect for each meal. The nightly sunsets what more can I say, We'll be back. Great place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/07
Stayed at the Bilmar at the last minute after a bad experience at a different hotel. The room was terrific we loved the pool and Sloppy Joes. The location was great! The only problem was that on Friday night we returned from dinner and discovered that there was no parking. We were told by a very rude gentleman that we had to park off property. We felt that the staff could have told us there there were going to be two weddings and parking would have been limited. We would not have left the premisis.

Definately worth it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/31/07
The room was beautiful Nice tile floors and granite countertops. HUGE windows looking over the wonderful beach. The only downfall was that the maintence guy hosed the sand off the side walk right out our door every morning right at 7am. Not a pleasant way to wake up! Also, they charge extra for internet access, when most hotels in the area do not. Other than that we can't wait to visit again! The beach alone is worth it!

Definitely will return!
By TaffyI, 01/11/07
The staff at the front desk was efficient, friendly and courteous. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We especially liked the fact that there is a restaurant/bar on the beach. Nice place to relax. Also, had a great dinner at Sloppy Joe's. Thanks again!

Wonderfully relaxing!
By debra B, 09/06/06
This was our first trip to The Bilmar Beach Resort and it was FABULOUS! The room was great, the view was spectacular and we couldn't of asked for more. Sloppy Joe's was ok, but for really GREAT seafood( and a really kicking greenflash) travel 3 miles south to Shells. It will be well worth the trip. I highly recommend The Bilamr and hope to return SOON!
