Exceeded expectations
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/10/07
Very nice clean, comfortable rooms, courteous employees (no one with an attitude), a few blocks from the metro. Reasonably priced in comparison with other hotels in the DC area. Coffee shop located at lower level, laptop available with internet connection for use on lower level.

M Street Hotel
By Randall, 11/27/06
The hotel was clean, efficient, and properly staffed. The location was off of the beaten track, but the room rate was lower than those at hotels closer to the convention center. Many restaurants are located in the hotel's immediate vicinity. The area seemed relatively safe and quiet after dark.

terrible
By jjjjaaaa, 11/17/05
It’s not that what is now the City Center Hotel is without positive characteristics. But the negative ones are what stand out and what you should know about before staying there. The room is boring and fake. It has the feel of something that wants to be classy and solid, but isn’t at all, but is just a sham. We stayed in a quad, which included a queen and a pullout; neither were great all though they did the job. The bathroom is so so. It was not very clean when we got there and never got any better. The bathroom products are cheap and don’t work well. Also, the room has, like the rest of the hotel, a feeling of fakeness and cheapness, where you’re nickel and dimmed for everything they can get. 5 for cheap water in the room, 9.95 for one day of wireless internet, 18 for one day of hotel parking, which is terrible anyway. The lobby is much like the room, boring and nonfunctional. There are many nice places to sit, but what are you supposed to do there, it’s almost impossible to think over the drone of constant and clichéd classical music. The in hotel restaurant, Shula’s, is more of the same. They won’t serve you burgers in the main room, they won’t show you a menu because they prefer, and think it’s classier to, display old and terrible food on a cart, they charge you exorbitant prices and fake class, but can’t back it up. The waiters are inattentive and don’t serve in a manor consistent with the price of the place. And to top it all off the neighborhood is dead and empty. There is a nearby gas station and a CVS to keep things interesting. Besides that parking outside of hotel parking is nearly impossible and not advised. I urge you to try some place else.

I choose Wyndham nationwide
By Tenishia, 9/15/05
The Wyndam on New Hampshire was my first Wyndham experience, I loved it. The staff was extremely helpful to my party and I. The Manager on duty even wrote down addresses of places we wanted to visit and see. I enjoyed this experience because the staff not only provided us with exceptional service with the hotel services, but also with what we wanted. You guys are great!!!

Great Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/8/05
We had a great experience at the Wyndaham. It is in a great and safe location (between Foggy Bottom and DuPont Circle), room was clean, and the customer service was great! The hotel staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make sure our experience was great. The only thing negative was that there internet usage was not free. Overall though I hope to stay at the Wyndham when I go back to Washington D.C.

never again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/27/05
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights only, at a rate of $100/night.I looked at other reviews and our room did not have a bath scale, robes, etc. I did not even needed! All I asked for was a clean room. When I got there, I thought I was in a Super 8 Motel. The room was small and even their beds are small for a double... When the A/C unit starts it makes a loud noise so we preferred to turn it off. At night, you would hear all the traffic, and you would hear the first trucks around 7 AM( weekdays, only!). Don't plan to go there during weekdays since you might not get any sleep in between the noise from the traffic and that of the A/C. The bathroom was not really clean, but the worst is that I got a rash from some little black flying bugs that crawled on me from the bed. Two days after my trip and I am still struggling with the itch and rash. I will disinfect all the luggage since I saw the same kind of bug on my husband's leg while we were driving back home. Spare yourself the anguish and stay somewhere else. Oh, the staff said to

Just okay
By Colleen Dame, 5/16/05
When walking into the Wyndham City Center there is the hope that this hotel in the downtown district will provide excellent service. The service was simply adequate, as was the room. The concierge service from one particular attended was abysmal and her attitude harsh and unwelcoming. The door room was left ajar by housekeeping more than once because the lock was not working properly. It was a safe and clean environment, but little more.
